Statement

First and foremost, I hope that my legal action will bring me justice. I also hope that it can stop Stonewall from policing free speech via its Diversity Champions scheme.

Stonewall have signed up many companies, public bodies, voluntary sector organisations and government departments to their manifesto and their value system regarding trans rights. What is called Stonewall Law. Without most of the public realising it, a large swathe of British employers have signed up to the Stonewall value system. It has done this by trying to silence and vilify women like me who have genuine concerns about how its approach to trans inclusivity conflicts with the protections, safety and dignity of women, girls, children and LGB people.

We cannot achieve a just outcome for everyone while Stonewall are free to threaten women like me with the loss of our livelihoods and reputations. Stonewall must be held to account. I intend to do just that.

Just seen this thread today, have donated. The whole situation is just unbelievable especially since if the case revolved solely on anything other than protection of women from being steamrolled by trans activists then it would be a no brainer for anyone to see that how she has been treated is despicable and that Stonewall no longer advocate for LGB, but have been completely warped into a radical trans militia.

What's going on is not straightforward and without context the (admirable) live tweeting is not clear.

I'd urge everyone interested to read the background of what's happening in the proceedings:

Just catching up with the live updates from yesterday.

Stonewall writes that @ gardencourtlaw have always been allies. "However for GCC to continue to campaign to support Allison puts us in a difficult position with yourselves".

Then @ stonewalluk continues that it trusts GCC will "do what is right and stand in solidarity with trans people". Stonewall says that GCC must take disciplinary action or they will disassociate themselves from GCC who will then "face the reputational consequences".

Shock
Why do we give Stonewall public money, again?

RMW: stonewall regards itself as a bystander in this matter

Is anyone else getting the same vibe as Trump's lawyers saying he can't possibly be responsible for encourage the storming of the Capitol because he didn't actually tell them to fight, and if he did it was just a metaphor anyway?

Sorry, still catching up - have I misunderstood or did they actually mention Cotton Ceiling in court?

Was it in reference to this?

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3458395-Looks-like-the-National-Lottery-and-Stonewall-have-picked-a-side-in-the-cotton-ceiling-debate

Life has moved on for Page since then. Now in London, she is working for the advocacy group Stonewall on its “transgender leadership programme”, which is managing a new national lottery grant of almost £500,000. This was given to Stonewall to “empower trans leaders and organisations” with a “particular focus on leadership, media and influencing”.

Page’s activism in Canada may not assuage those feminist concerns. In 2012, amid some controversy, she ran a workshop called Overcoming the Cotton Ceiling. The “cotton ceiling” is a term used by some trans lesbian women to criticise biological lesbian women for refusing to have sex with them because they have penises.

Old thread full now.

The bystander comment is laughable considering the threat yesterday that GCC would experience reputational consequences if Allison wasn't disciplined.

Back to Cooper for AB. Judge says now time to look at some matters including PCPs. Cooper says evidence we have heard is start of what is needed in a final hearing. Also says "we have NOT completed disclosure". The material raised so far is only relevant to preliminary hearing

All seems to be boiling down to this Catch 22 of evidence being redacted therefore preventing Allison naming specific people and actions at this stage.

All at GCC are responsible for their own data control. Claimant cannot name individuals without full disclosure so "we are in a Catch 22 situation".

Judge says you can only establish liability against an organisation if an individual is named. It makes the case more complicated

Cooper says it is not complicated. We have evidence that people within GCC were communicating with heads of chambers

Women have always been silenced. Same shit different models. The pressures on the loudest still weighs heavily and represents whatever power structures of the time. The lack of progress is astonishing.

The Claimant is entitled to say the discriminatory decision was taken by a group of people feeding into a process. Second, Claimant can infer that these separate people were communicating their views to heads of chambers, and that these views influenced the decision.

There is no need to name individuals, nor is the Claimant in a position to name, due to redaction of documents
