This is a great compilation of the key arguments made. Well worth a watch.

Thanks for posting. Penny dropped for me - why didn't trans rights go the way of LGB rights - safety, dignity, equality, respect. I've supported that for decades and still do and it's what the majority of trans folk want. Instead it's gone down a route of appropriating the rights of another group of people - women and the medicalisation of childhood behaviours that have been part of the rich tapestry of childhood for centuries. The potential profits for big pharma from medicating the 4000% more girls who feel they are boys are mind blowing. At least the Bell judgement will mean scrupulous care will have to be taken before PBs can be prescribed to children.

Couple of things stand out for me from the doc.

Seeing how the young men's misogyny finds an outlet over JKRowling (13-15mins) is stark. I knew many young men like this when I was growing up. To think that porn culture (well pointed out later in doc) is making this much worse is beyond disappointing.

How Dr JC Jones is so measured, reasonable and bang on the argument in her interview with Glinner is brilliant. Will have to rewatch the whole thing again.

"A Rapist in Your Path gives me goosebumps. And the women reading out the shit rules that are different for men and women around the world just stitch the misogyny together so we know we have to keep fighting all of it when we can.

Actually there's more than a couple of things about this documentary but I'm real glad other people find it excellent too 😍

I wonder who made this. I'd bet good money they've not asked for permission from any of the people in the film, it's all ripped off from other places.

Yes, she's great. The original interview is here:

Why do you think that?

They released a trailer a while back, so probably had time to get permissions. Or is that the one thing you can pick apart from it.

Why do you think that?

Because all the content is made elsewhere as far as I can see, none is original for this video. And I can't see the likes of serious feminists like Jane Clare Jones and Sheila Jeffries agreeing to be in a video with Posie Parker and Blaire White, let alone Jordan fucking Peterson.

That is an interesting perspective. I guess I would like to believe that JCJ and Sheila Jefferies would be agreeable for being in a professionally made clip that pulls together a wide variety of media to provide an informative overview. Jane has not tweeted anything and she seems to be someone who would be right on the ball with something like this.

I guess you probably know more about it than me though. I did not know either of those people would be the ones who would object.

I think this video has been made of clips that are all in the public domain.

Not for profit, for educational purposes only according to YouTube blurb. As previously said made up of clips in public domain.

Absolutely amazing. I had often wondered how the movement got so big so fast, now I understand more. I am heartened by the number of trans people who are also concerned. A lot to think about. Thank you.

Sheila Jeffreys has spoken at Posie's events, so I'm sure she'd be fine with that Grin

That's an excellent video.

So much info. So many links. Unafraid and honest.

It should be required viewing for all MPs.

Thanks for sharing this. I started watching this last night. My husband was next to me and even turned off terrestrial TV to pay attention. We stayed up until 3am watching but there's another 30 minutes to go, when the baby goes for his nap. So far it's been really coherent and well-put together, especially if it was clips as PPs said.

The American woman near the end who said that the money LGBT generates has gone from x billion to nearly four trillion in five years was very good. Articulate and incredulous.

Not sure who she was?
