Everything You Wanted to Know About Gender Dysphoria But Were Afraid To Ask
Jan 28, 2021 07:00 PM

This will be a conversation about living with gender dysphoria and exploring different approaches both with experts in the field and those who live with gender dysphoria. The panel will include Dr Az Hakeem, Stella O’Malley, Carol F, and Lauren Black. The discussion will be hosted by Bev Jackson.

This will be excellent. I've heard Dr Hakeem speak before, and it will be instructive to hear from those with gender dysphoria.

It's so cheering to see the range of webinars, conferences, articles, interviews appearing on such topics. With actual evidence rather than ideology. We are finding our voices at last.

Thanks for organising it LGB Alliance. Flowers

Hello Soontobe60, if you click on the link it will take you to a webpage where you enter your name, email address and whether you would like to sign up to their mailing list. Then you click Register. If it works, you should automatically get an email confirming this. If you don't get an email confirmation then you will have to get in touch with LGB Alliance to sort it out, but I haven't come across any issues so far. It's pretty straightforward.

@Soontobe60

Yes on a family quiz 🤣

The last time I was on a Zoom quiz, one person kept forgetting to mute their speaker so we could hear all the answers they whispered. 😂

Did anyone else see this??
I thought it was a fantastic and educational discussion. Unfortunately I had to leave a little early to put toddler to bed but what I saw was so thoughtful, compassionate and genuine.
Bev did a great job, sharp facilitating and keeping the conversation on track and moving. All of the guests were full of warmth and honest and openhearted.
They are going to put it up so anyone can watch. Not sure when but I'll try and post a link here.
Definitely worth a watch, and something to point others towards who may be interested, or who wrongly think we are all a load of right wing, angry bigots.
It would, perhaps, have been more balanced if they had had a transwoman on the panel too but Carol and Lauren were so articulate and grounded. It was great to hear their voices and experiences raw and first hand.
If you're reading,- a big thanks to all involved.

I watched it too. Really good, definitely worth watching once they put it on their YouTube channel.

It was very good! I wished it could have gone on for longer. It would have been nice to hear from a detransitioned man as well but the two women were great in expressing themselves and their experiences.

@NonnyMouse1337 I agree but it's such a vast subject maybe they will do a follow up that focuses on that

It was good to see the lesbian community focused on for a change.

You're right jeaux90 it was appropriate that lesbians had the focus on the topic this time. I appreciate the LGB Alliance putting on these webinars and there will be room for further discussions I hope.
