Start using Mumsnet PremiumOfficial Conservative LGBT group attacking women again
(29 Posts)The Conservative party are just as much in thrall to their LGBT+ groups as all the other parties. Here is a member of an official affiliated group attacking women who do not believe in their ideology. Use of hate speech and even an insinuation that Liz Truss is behind the website. Good grief. There have been a number of complaints about this group yet nothing sticks. Teflon indeed.
So marginalised, so oppressed.....

I'd quibble over 'just as much in thrall' - don't recall the last leadership contenders being press ganged into signing declarations - but I do agree with the broad point. This is after all the party that has the power, quite possibly for another 9 years, and it would be pretty surprising if lobbyists weren't working on them too.
Johnson has a reputation for disliking unpopular decisions and I can imagine him desperately casting around right now for anything that looks like a quick win, so we need to stay alert I think.
I did smile at that tweeter being called 'Bunbury'!
The image didn't post. Here's the 'disgusting' text:
*Women & girls have sex-based rights. Wishing to take advantage of those rights and to have them enforced via clear guidance ... is not 'unkind'. In order to do that we must speak in unambiguous language and be able to discuss policies which affect us free of abuse, harassment or intimidation. To discuss those policies, we must exercise the right to use the language which specifically refers to the anatomy of our biological sex. Men who 'identify' as women are not a category of women, they are a category of men.
Allowing men and boys to take advantage of the rights of women and girls is not kind to women and girls.*
I remember Elena organising a webinar with Ruth Hunt that I think 5 people attended and one of them was her friend, at least two others were women who wanted to see what was said.
Let's just say it wasn't roaring success. They may be loud but I'm not sure they are that powerful, though I'm sure Crispin Blunt would like to think they are.
Worth keeping an eye on as much as they are keeping an eye on us.

LGB Conservatives think the Tory party is captured too. http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3822486-LGB-Conservatives-think-the-Tory-party-is-captured-too
Blocked now. Ever open to debate huh?

I was going to email my Tory MP about the sexual exploitation bill anyway, I will ask about this. I imagine they are an unofficial group, they just appear to be speaking for all LGB Tories. There's no shortage of unofficial groups in all political parties I imagine, there are a few in the Greens. It also depends on how official groups have to be structured with elections etc or sanctioned within the party's own structure IYSWIM.

If it keeps her from hurting any further children, sounds good to me.

OhHolyJesus LGBT Conservatives are an official affiliated group in the Conservative party. There is no official LGB group.
Their official Twitter account also all but called David TC Davies MP a c*nt a couple of years ago.

Not always - some of her time is used taking transwomen to court in cases that later get thrown out. Causing much distress to the transwoman in the meantime.
"Be kind", eh?
We're there, it's right out in plain sight now.
Women having rights is disgusting.
Good luck getting that message over to an electorate. Best of bloody British.

Certainly very quick off the mark since only the op had posted.
Maybe it is more about what Mimmymum would like to happen, or the old narcissistic mirror thing.

Is this Conservative Party policy?
Thanks OP, I'm amazed there has been any repercussions from them calling a serving MP a C-word. Surely this brings the party into disrepute as they are an affiliated group.
You would never get away with that in the Greens. Well maybe you would if it was a man calling a woman that.
On the assumption that a lot of them in the photo are members, most of them appear to be blokes. So are we surprised at seeing this level of misogyny and silencing of women? Of course not. It's their standard operating procedure and identical to the behaviour of Lib Dems, Labour, the Greens etc - all using LGBT twitter accounts to express their hatred of women. Of course, they'll come whining wanting our votes at some stage

Their "happy new year to all our members" takes on a whole new meaning!
So what's the DL on this mimmy person? I gather she used to work with Mermaids and was involved in a court case against Miranda Yardley?
It's always heartening to be reminded of that sorry business.
Thank you, Fleegle.

They've locked their account by the looks of it. Because of "bullying"/"dogpiling" no doubt.
But it's ok for her to draw people's attention to something in a website that she doesn't oike, of course.
