@Stonewall

'With an almost 50% increase in online abuse for women and non-binary people this year, we proud to join @GlitchUK_ in calling on @dcms @oliverdowden to go further in their Online Harms White Paper following Tuesday’s announcement. Find out more...'

Does seem like something of a coincidence that when their aggressive TWAW policy of forcing women to give up access to spaces and sports starts to unravel, and their attempts to indoctrinate school kids are halted, they suddenly care about internet misogyny. They're responsible for inspiring loads of it with their belligerent take no prisoners approach!

What an effing liberty. They've practically encouraged it!

Oh my - that hasn't gone down well has it? Grin

They're watching all that government income disappearing so are casting around looking for new income streams. Just watch - they'll be 'partnering' with all sorts of charities & groups in a desperate attempt to keep those coffers full.

That is a surprise! Hope it is repeatedly pointed out just how much they either instigated or merely turned a blind eye to the large proportion of that 50% they are responsible for.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/12/2020 21:07

Notice though that they've made a whole new "non men" category which includes MTF trans people and "non binary" people some of whom are male.

If Stonewall stfu the online misogyny would decrease considerably.

I have only been made aware of what Stonewall have been up to from reading about it on Mumsnet.
I felt very uncomfortable with British Horseracing really pushing the Rainbow Laces campaign last week - expecting jockeys to wear rainbow armbands and record messages of support. All under the banner of everyone welcome in racing. I wonder if the racing powers that be truly understand what is going on behind the scenes with this organisation.

Binglebong · 17/12/2020 21:20

Would that be the online abuse by the people they support towards the women who point out reality?

MerchedCymru · 17/12/2020 21:33

The ratio is glorious. That and Liz Truss's ability to repeatedly say the word 'woman' without 'anyone who identifies as a' before it or 'and non-binary people' after it, have made my day. I feel quite Christmassy!

I don't think he is L, B, G or T so maybe a Q, A or +?

When Stonewall use the words woman or women, I don't think they mean what women mean when we use them, iyswim.

And what the heck is an intersectional identity when it's at home? I looked to see if I had one but only found some assorted female body parts and a spinning brain...

In 2019 Stonewall raised £3,269,477 out of £8,315,995 from fees for membership of their diversity programme.

This week the government has said that the civil service is to ditch diversity awareness training and urged other public sector employers to do the same ...

...and this week Stonewall decides it gives a stuff about women and seemingly expands its remit.

Related to this thread there is a discussion on facebook about putting a formal complaint against the CEO of Ofcom for blatantly showing bias which goes against the remit of Ofcom, and specifically in relation to monitoring "hate speech" on the internet when so many women have been silenced by Stonewall / trans activists.

I suspect it wont get anywhere, but it just shows how well entrenched Stonewall is with both the government and so called campaigners.

And the terrible thing is even if, for instance, WPUK offered training of ensuring women's rights most Governments and big companies would not book it. Because behind this are the hidden networks of male frienships that create the influence to begin with.

re complaining, I do hope LGB Alliance put in a formal complaint. I dont mean wasting time on twitter but finding Ofcom's own complaint procedure.

Trans activists are so hard nosed about this type of thing. Sometimes it seems the gender critical groups just dont have the same stamina in terms of pushing back agressively.

Their Twitter seems weird to me. They supposedly have 214.6k followers, yet only get a low number of likes and little engagement from followers...

Report
stumbledin · 17/12/2020 23:55

I suspect that all these "followers" are put upon employees of organistaions that inflicted Stonewall training on them and that part of the follow up is to say they are now following them!

And also if this is only partly true what they heard in training and then what they see in response to the hypocrasy of Stonewall leaves them unable to say anything.

Because if their workplace saw they were questioning Stonewall there would probably be an internal investigation.

This is how you get what appears to me majority compliance.

I think by putting the message out with a green background and yellow type they've done their best to make it bloody hard to read....

Token gesture is the phrase that springs to mind.

They must be crapping their pants at the potential revenue loss of all that Govt diversity training.

Good.

I don't want my tax spent on promoting an ideology.

Stonewalls all about the money now. Since gay marriage was rightly legalised they've been striving to find a way to keep themselves relevant and in the road.

The T and B have been providing that vehicle for them - only now even they must be realising that it won't pass its MOT without a new clutch.

If they think changing gears to support women is going to cut it they are badly mistaken.

We won't forget you fuckers...

Stonewall include transwomen in women. So by 'women and non-binary' they mean females, males who identify as female, and males and females who believe they aren't male or female, but not females who identify as male.

The colour scheme they're using is getting a lot of stick.
