Mary Anning Rocks need to get from £22,000 to their target if £100,000 to fund their statue of the pioneering paleontologist in Lyme Regis. The artist - Denise Dutton - seems to know how to create public monuments. She sculpted the Annie Kenny statue in Bolton in the picture. Link here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/maryanningrocks

She's clothed! shock

Jokes aside, I hope they reach the goal.

Can anyone recommend a Mary Anning book, either fictionalized or completely factual, for my science-loving daughters aged 10 and under? Thanks!

There are a few book recommendations on A Mighty Girl. I bought Stone girl, bone girl for my daughters, they really enjoy the story, but it may be a little young for a 10 year old

The novel Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier is excellent. Review here:

The Annie Kenny statue is in Oldham not Bolton.

£100,000! I know it's important to commemorate female figures but that money could surely be spent better!
