An interesting piece of research

Researchers have found that women who live in matrilineal villages of the Mosuo tribe in southwest China, where grandmothers are the heads of the households, have lower blood pressure than those in very similar villages where men rule the roost. Women in these matriarchal communities also had far lower levels of inflammatory proteins in their blood, which have been linked to a host of chronic conditions, including heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

Fascinating, thanks for sharing. Just googled to see if there were any recent books about the Mosuo and found this The Kingdom of Women by Choo Waihong blackwells.co.uk/bookshop/product/The-Kingdom-of-Women-by-Choo-Waihong-author/9780755606887

Did you spot this bit
“By contrast, men’s health did not seem to suffer significantly when they lived under matriarchs.”

How incredibly not surprising.
