Gender 'stacks the odds' from cradle to grave with women making up nearly three quarters of victims of abuse and exploitation''

“One in every 130 females around the world is living in modern slavery, while women and girls account for nearly three quarters (71 per cent) of all modern slavery victims, a first-of-its-kind global report has revealed.
“Among the report’s findings is that women and girls make up 99 per cent of all victims of forced sexual exploitation, 84 per cent of all those who are forced to marry and 58 per cent of all victims of forced labour.”

Surely they could try harder? Identify out of it?

Oh wait, no.

When it comes to it, men know exactly who to abuse.

It says we are doing the most of any country in the world to combat this. It would be interesting to know what we are doing and how that was accomplished, as a model for other women’s rights issues in the future.

Awful awful report.
And this is one of the issues that we should be spending our time fighting. I am beyond despair that women have to engage in a battle for our very identity and the safeguarding of our children while these outrages continue. But if we don't win the battle to retain our identity then we lose the ability to challenge the oppression of women as a sex class and to identify what is happening to women - as seen in this report. .
