I just thought I’d share this thread about miscarriages. I think it might have been written in response to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend receiving abuse after announcing a miscarriage. Please note it may be particularly upsetting for some.

I saw that this morning, and found it moving, and painful to acknowledge how this female experience is ignored/ dismissed/ hidden.

But I was really annoyed by the fact that one of the first responses is criticising the author for not acknowledging that intersex people, trans men, and non-binary people can get pregnant too. The author then apologised for not being inclusive Angry The arrogance of reading this deeply personal story about a woman’s experience and instantly complaining that it wasn’t inclusive...

The arrogance of reading this deeply personal story about a woman’s experience and instantly complaining that it wasn’t inclusive...

It's a horrible, narcissistic response and it happens all the time with women's stories. Angry

I wish I had the last 15 minutes of my life back...that was excruciating to read how they pounced on what was a very personal, informative and important thread about miscarriages...a singularly woman experience.

Sadly, the 'inclusive' mob will keep showing up until women who post these sort of things develop sufficient courage to stop making grovelling apologies in response.

After 4 miscarriages, 1 traumatic still birth & birthing 2 lovely daughters in between, I don't have time nor patience for "Identities"!

Miscarriage only happens to "Females", Women & Mother is the majority & legal consensus on the terms used for humans who give birth and if your constructed unscientific "identity" is placed at the front and centre of other Women's pain, then you need a little help, see a psych, those pushing that nonsense are more concerned about themselves than the loss of a child. And I refuse to feed the trolls over that or allow other Women to be gaslighted.

Being a Woman & Mother, Sister, carer, volunteer and working full time is hard enough when dealing with the loss of a baby and folks jumping on to accuse Women of not centring strangers in that loss JUST GIVES ME A RAGE ONLY A WOMAN CAN MUSTER. HOW DARE THEY REDUCE HER PAIN AND SHAME HER TO CENTRE THEIR NARCISSISTIC IDENTITIES.

Now after that out pouring, I can expect yet another warning or a ban. I am so over watching my speech to appease strangers irrational feelings. 👍
