You have to register and send in your questions in advance. Would be great if there were questions from parents about gender identity teaching materials, gender neutral toilets, drag queen storytime etc in Scottish schools.

The event will be posted on YouTube later for those unable to attend.

I put a question in asking if the revised LGBTYS guidelines (which, as far as I can tell are being dominated by the same small groups) will recognise that parents need full involvement in welfare decisions for their children so that schools stop formally transitioning children behind parents backs - particularly where a child is under the care of a clinical professional who feels affirmation is inappropriate for that child.

Great question, rogdmum. Smile

Some more examples on Twitter.

The auto response I got indicated that they will be grouping questions rather than answering individual ones. I’m hoping there will be enough around the LGBTYS guidance for it to merit a group of its own to be answered (though while I would not expect anything new in any answer, it’s getting that little bit of added exposure that’s important.)

What is the point? He’s seen the questions in advance, so difficult ones will be dumped, and he’ll trot out rehearsed platitudes to the ones he likes.
The SNP tolerates no diversion from their party line, so Swinney will just parrot TWAW, and say that you can all face seven years in jail for disagreeing, under their new hate crime bill.
This is the man whose incompetence has seen him make a mess of Scottish education, via the named person fiasco, and the laughably labelled “Curriculum for excellence” which is anything but.
What could you possibly say to him other than request his resignation? And the destruction of his whole vile nationalist party, whose entire raison detre is the break up of our country.

Not one question, whatever it was, will have been answered.
