Harris's abuse first came to light when a victim approached police in 2015.
And when Det Con Thomas took on the case she was left "astounded" at the number of potential witnesses she approached who turned out to be victims.
If offenders were anonymous until charge, the police wouldn't be able to go out proactively to find witnesses. It protects men like Harris, who groom and abuse young girls. Those are the people being thrown under the bus to prevent "mens lives being ruined by women falsely alleging rape".
I really struggle to understand how anyone would want to put structures in place to protect men like Harris
