Regarding twitter conversations about underage consent.
It’s fine up on my feed as a celebrity I follow liked his tweet.

I love James Dreyfus, he’s a voice of reason in a sea of madness.

He's really taking the bull by the horns.

Great! Thanks. I just started following him.

He's one of the very few reasons I was happy to use Twitter for a time. Thoroughly decent bloke.

Very funny too. A great account to follow.

I'm glad hes doing this, more attention needs to be brought to it and Twitter needs to know it is not acceptable.
Twitter is a cesspit and needs to be cleaned up, one of the reasons I came away from it was all the MAPs, MRAs and furries.

Apparently according to Twitter's policy this is all dandy as long as they're not glorifying or promoting child exploitation in any way Hmm

Great guy. He also tweeted this

"What astonishes me is the ease with which children, vulnerable women & adolescents girls have become the MOST disposable, when it comes to ‘championing inclusive causes’.

In fact, it sickens me.

Do people even possess a moral compass anymore?"

The MAP crowd even have their own charity now. Didn't they go after Sarah Phillimore? Picked the wrong person there.

How the fuck are paedophiles allowed to Twitter but Posie Parker and Graham Lineham not?

Because in the male-dominated tech industry, free speech is primarily about men's sexual "needs". There was a great thread about this stuff in the aftermath of the Reddit shutdowns, I'll see if I can find it.

I'm so glad he's taken this on.

I noticed this on his thread:

Twitter and Reddit are MRA run, it would seem.

James Dreyfus is clearly a really, really decent human being.

He's great. He's screaming into the void though I think, sadly.

Yes, this.

It's utterly appalling Twitter are only suspending the accounts of these vile people, and have only even done that because JD has drawn attention to how vile they are.

The fact that the platform is enabling paedophiles is why I won't use Twitter. Ever.

Neurotrash - it's very encouraging to see that the Mail is planning a big investigative piece on this. Really looking forward to what they come up with.

Katherine Denkinson, who wrote the piece for Mail on Sunday about MAPs, tweeted her article a few weeks ago. Have a look at the responses:

I also like him but it's a low fucking bar when we are relieved to have a man speaking out against paedophilia

thehumanformerlyknownasfemale · 31/07/2020 10:16

Oh God, those comments. Someone asking why the journo didn't reach out to more people in the 'community.'

I feel fucking sick. How the hell have we got here?

Good God, I have never been a ‘string them up and chop off their balls’ type, I agree that there needs to be more research into paedophilia and how we can manage it. But those replies! Actively campaigning to lower the age of consent to as young as 4 years old?!! I feel that for some children even 16 is too low an age....

DrDavidBanner · 31/07/2020 10:45

Well apparently they're some of the most sensitive and sweet human beings on the planet so I guess they've got that going for them Confused

Those people are sick and I can't believe some of the replies she got. Well I can, thats why I'm no longer on Twitter, I notice one of the respondents (@TNF_13) describe themselves as Minority perspective amplifier what does that mean?

OMG! Those responses....grim.

Those responses are very worrying indeed, and the one from Pedophiles about Pedophilia insisting they are not a risk, is especially disturbing.

Report
Datun · 31/07/2020 11:15

Those responses are grim.

They genuinely believe that telling people they are non-offending, is some kind of Teflon coating. That they can wax lyrical all the live long day about paedophilia, and that is entirely acceptable, as long as they ain't touching kids.

They are actually attempting to take the moral high ground.

Ugh. Truly, how can this be acceptable?
