Start using Mumsnet PremiumAmazon Smile
(6 Posts)When I buy via Amazon, I use smile.amazon.co.uk and a tiny percentage of the purchase price goes to a charity of my choice (from a list provided). Mine is Doctors without Borders. I recommended it to a friend via Facebook Messenger today, and here's what came up...
(It's a Stonewall ad, sorry the pic is a bit blurry.)
AIBU to think WTF, Amazon?
They're a giant tech company. They all unite for Big Penis. We know this.
NIA are on Amazon Smile, though. For now, at least.
Not at all surprised. They have Mermaids as an option too.
I suppose any charity / ‘charity’ can apply to be in the scheme. I have a kids charity for nine - a proper kids charity that doesn’t try to indoctrinate or abuse them.
Any charity can sign up to benefit from amazon smile. Stonewall have clearly paid for advertising. I wouldn't read anything more into it than that.
