First time poster. My 12 year old has started saying she doesn't like JKR because she's a transphobe (sigh). I'm not engaging at the moment, but gently asking what she means by that. Figure that taking a Socratic approach is better than telling her that's all a load of twaddle.
But I would like to point her in the direction of some YA fiction/other resources that might encourage her to question more widely, and offer a sound alternative to the genderwoowoo. Any suggestions, please?
