Google Doodle and Wikipedia - Marsha P Johnson

Astonishingly Wikipedia says that Marsha was "a gay liberation activist and self-identified drag queen".

Studiously avoids pronouns but watch out - they will be coming to say Marsha started the Stonewall riots and was a woman next.
I note that Storme Delarverie does NOT have a Google Doodle.

I think this is the compromise they have reached with endless changes being made to the entry, but because it is possible to trace actual quotes they cant trans history.

By chance have just posted about an article in the Independent where they have gone all out to trans the story of Marsha P Johnson. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3954666-Independent-transing-the-past-again-Marsha-P-Johnson

Google-fecking-doodle - maybe we need a campaign to have a Storme picture?

Oh, come on, Serenity, they couldn't have a LESBIAN as a Google doodle! Don't be silly!

I get that they love a bit of fluffy rainbow sparkle glam but those photos of Storme in her drag are pretty swish.

Just saw there’s a petition to get a statue of Marsha in Columbus in NY. Some 19 year old female resident set up the petition. So ignorant it makes your eyes rolls

Yes they can and did have a lesbian as a google doodle.

Not only a lesbian, but Black British and a feminist housing activist

She seems to have been absolutely fearless and died much much too young. Remember her name!
