Mass TRA spamming of Liz Truss

Via Google, all the main charities, etc etc etc.

Am slightly worried it'll have an effect - hoping if they could spot a gamed consultation they'll spot this?Confused

The trans bullies are incandescent. But as people have start to realise what they are demanding, the silencing of free speech and the risks posed to women and children by self ID, their influence is being lessened by the population going WTF?!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 30/06/2020 18:05

I should think that would have the opposite effect, surely.

This is getting truly sinister now. Twitter silences people who are gc and now Google interferes in UK politics. Who the hell are they answerable to?!

Report
littlbrowndog · 30/06/2020 18:10

Google should do one

This is interfering in Uk politics

Do they do this in other countries.

Who do these brands tink they are.

I was just on Twitter and someone said there'll be a thread on Mumsnet saying Google has fallen.
Google should pay tax, and keep out of politics.
Though it has reminded me to write to Liz Truss

I agree with Honeysuckle that it will be counterproductive. Truss was unhappy that the 70% majority in favour of reforming the GRA, in the consultation responses, was largely the result of mass copying and pasting of standard texts from Stonewall et al. They will not be happy at having to wade through all this shit.

What a bizarre thing to do. I cannot think of anything less likely to persuade me.

I’ve said it before but Dominic Cummings loves a focus group, the Tories won’t be swayed by a full post bag from mainly young mainly Labour people who they know wouldn’t vote for them if the only other option on the ballot was Hitler.

They know as well as we do that your average Tory voter is a white, older, middle class man and that that demographic really doesn’t care about trans issues, they do care about their wives and daughters safety though.

I really can't believe that Google is trying to influence UK laws Shock (naive)

Agree that it will probably have the opposite effect that the TRAs hope for.

Why does google say Marsha is a 'self identified' drag queen? Drag is an act.
It doesn't say he was trans though so thats a bonus.

Just a daily reminder that if you are demanding the govt abolish the rights of women and gay people, your policies align with those of UKIP.

It doesn't make any difference how you try to spin it or how much you try to police language or dissent. Removing the human rights of 3 groups of people is not progressive.

This is an excellent suggestion, go into the template, change the text and send our own emails raising concerns about US tech giants interfering with UK politics.

You might want to use a burner email and name though

It's very useful for her to see first hand the harassment and swamping strategies they use in attempts to game the system and bully their way. It's exactly how they behave to any female who dares to talk about the needs and rights of females instead of utter subservience. It was seeing that which peaked many posters here.

Michelleoftheresistance · 30/06/2020 18:37

Apart from which, I thought telling people all about your traumas and hardships and personal struggles was 'weaponising' and 'using your trauma for leverage' and deeply frowned upon within this lobby?

Or is that only if a female does it, and so detracts from the spotlight and all public sympathy being in the right place?

I've just tweaked the template to send an email about why I support the need to retain sex-based rights and opportunities Grin

What's the role of Google here? The email template I've seen, from the link posted above, was from Gendered Intelligence via dogooder.co, which I haven't heard of before, but seems to be an Australian based company with no obvious link to Google.

Do they seriously think this is going to work???

I agree that this is extremely sinister though.

Do they seriously think this is going to work??

Yes, which is baffling, as mass spamming of the public consultation has already been flagged in the press.

I've sent my proper-from-a-person emails to:
[email protected] in her capacity as Minister for Equalities
[email protected] in her capacity as Minister for Women and Equalities
Baroness Berridge of The Vale of Catmose [email protected] in her capacity as Minister for Women

Kept them brief indicating support for the change in position reported in The Sunday Times, that there's an issue over conflict of rights, and the 4000% increase in girls transitioning and the NHS deciding on the quiet that puberty blockers aren't reversible.

I have to say that, while in the past I haven't been particularly impressed by Liz 'Cheese' Truss, she's done well here. She knew she'd catch it by sticking her head over the parapet and I just hope she sticks to her guns.

Report
Imnobody4 · 30/06/2020 20:46

Apparently she's intending to make an announcement before this parliament breaks up, so now's the time to write.

This is the link to the template letter that google have endorsed.

gra.good.do/trusstme/trusstme/

You can edit it and put in your own remarks.
As suggested use a burner email & name.
Protonmail.com is secure & quick to set up.

Nauticant Badenoch is as woke as they come and has drunk the Kool Aid. As is Berridge (I think, correct me if I'm wrong).

Why would you need to use a burner email?

Report

I'm sure the Baroness would be interested.
