Question about intersectionality

Feminists are always being berated for not being intersectional enough.

Is this demand for intersectionality ever made of other campaigns? For example, are black rights activists berated for not being inclusive enough of women and gay people? Are gay rights movements berated for not being inclusive of black people? etc etc. Or is it just feminists?

To be fair, whether or not you agree with everything they say on the matter, BLM have been highlighting Black trans people, and I think that is true intersectionality.

However, I don't think anybody has put pressure on them to include white trans people. Some people who talk about 'intersectionality' need to think more about the word 'intersection'.

So in summary yes, berated for not including black women and and black gay people, but not berated for not centering the needs of white women or white gay people.

Intersectionality does not mean that everything has to intersect with a penis.

One of the striking things about the 'intersectionalists' AKA the SJ movement is that they are unable to engage in debate nor defend their fragile ideas against challenge. Instead, their tactic is to immediately shutdown criticism by shouting 'bigot' at anyone who doesn't meekly acquiesce. In the case of feminists, they are dismissed as middle class white women from last century who should sit down and shut up while the Robespierre faction take the stage. Failure to do so results in virulent personal abuse. It's ironic that many of the leading lights of the intersectionalists are middle class white women. Judith Butler et al. But since consistency along with rationality, empirical evidence, falsifiability etc is on the expansive list of things not required? That doesn't give them pause for thought. The industrial quantity doublethink helps with this.

Yes other groups are asked to 'be intersectional' but in the case of feminism this would refer to other characteristics that intersect with being female
If someone wanted to start a movement for the welfare of cats, it would be intersectional to include cats of all colours, ages, domestic set up, nationalities, health etc
It would not be interesctional to include dogs. As they are not cats. Even if some of their needs overlap.
A children's movement aiming to be intersectional should look at ways to 'liberate' all children whatever their race/background/sexuality etc. That doesn't mean it has to include adults to be intersectional.

There may be a reason for that other than intersectionality. Although SamB isn't too painstaking with her accuracy, so this could be rubbish.
