(47 Posts)You beat me to it! He fit a lot in there.
Well said Jonathon.
My god that’s the best video about what’s currently happening that I’ve ever seen. 😮
Yep that pretty much sums much of this up.
Spot on.
He is very perceptive.
I love that video, I properly laughed out loud at some of that. Spot on.
Well she's been replaced by Kate Green.
Kate is my MP. She says TWAW and in sports women should just work harder. She also signed the stupid Fox and Owl letter.
Sorry for the derail.
He speaks truth. Satire without fear or favour.
Correct. And funny.

I always think women who say this to other women about sport have either
- never played any sport to any standard,
- have no female loved one who play sport,
- are unleashing revenge for the fact that they were never picked first in games,
- have no idea how women have had a bloody hard struggle to get any kind of representation/recognition/sponsorship/publicity in most mainstream sport, and are still trying to do so,
- have no knowledge of rudimentary biology and therefore are too thick for public office
- simply do not have any imagination or empathy for girls and women for whom sport may be their only outlet/way of progress in life.
(Do please put me right if you know different about Kate Green. I frankly cannot be bothered to look her up.)
I try not to think that , op but it's hard not to. Someone over on the thread started by Glinner couldn't imagine a situation where a 13 year old girl might be taking a shower next to an intact transwomen. Suspect they have never been in a gym or public swimming pool.
OP I think you have hit the nail on the head
I laughed a lot at that video. Nailed it.
Love it.
He nails it every single time and so funny.
Brilliant video.
Fuck re Kate Green.
in sports women should just work harder.
A male friend of mine who had been banging on about TWAW, when asked about sex segregation said he thought it was 'old fashioned' and that as he was short he was disadvantaged, all women and men should just play sports together.
It's not really a considered position, put it that way.
OliveKitteridge - spot on, all of it.
I feel gutted for the upcoming generation of sportswomen. We've had about 5 years where things looked good - women's professional football getting going, getting regular TV time, women's Six Nations rugby attracting good crowds and TV time, with the prospect of a professional league at club level. All sorts of women's sports getting more air time.
And now it's all about to be shat on from a great height.
He conflates left wing with woke but apart from that he's spot on.
On the women in sport front this came crashing down on me when watching Ninja Warrior (of all things) on a Saturday night with my daughter when she said but all the winners are boys. She got increasingly angry that no girls could finish the course ... How do you explain to a six year old the biological reality of her sex?
redshoe Kate Green is my MP too. I think a lot of people around her are GC, so (wrongly) she may have just been saying the 'right' thing at the time. I think there is hope for her.
I hope so, Cantteach. And as we're neighbours have this
That Jonathon Pie is FAB
if Kate Green is indeed in the TWAW camp (I note she does not have a daughter which I've found to be a key marker)
she needs some reminding
BUT
lets giver her a chance.
Keir has a line and a reliable shadow EdSec might just make a difference
He is pretty good at putting things together and spotting the big patterns. He's been bitterly furious for a long time that he's a Labour voter who would love a socialist government and there is no one he can vote for. There's many in his position.
I have happy memories of him doing an imitation of a Labour Party conference safe space where everyone goes to chant "no one say anything I don't agree with! no one say anything I don't agree with!"
I love him. Saw him live a few years ago
