Remember this is the ONLY woman on Leeds city Council who has spoken out publicly about implementing the nordic model and womens sex based rights. She’s also been to death’s door with cancer in the last year and left quite severely disabled by chemo and surgery.
This is an unconscionable piece of hyperbole and nonsense and this poor woman doesn’t have any protection.

Fair enough I suppose that's their perspective.
Interesting to note they mention people searching his social media accounts without mentioning the concerns those who did so had.

Jesus Christ. I just looked through the entire MN thread in question to see where the “Crucifixion threats” are and literally all I can see is one poster mention that if anyone else had taken the piss out of ADHD so publicly then they’d be crucified (I.e in public opinion). Really scraping the bottom of the barrel to turn that somehow into a “threat”.

They’re acting like it’s a massive pile on when in fact most of the social media posts don’t have that many comments or retweets - in fact one of the FB comments has been “loved” by only one person - the actual person who took the screenshot for the article Hmm

There's an article on the LeedsLive Facebook page, I'm trying to pluck up the courage to comment but if anyone's feeling braver than me please do Blush

PN article
(extract)
Drag Queen Story Hour UK being cancelled is a ‘kick in the face’ for LGBT+ youth, says founder.
The event, scheduled for 2pm, entered the radar of councillor Sarah Field. The Garforth and Swillington representative has ties with anti-trans groups.

She chaired a June 2019 meeting at Leeds Civic Hall, organised by “gender critical” group Leeds Spinners. At the meeting, according to transcripts, she said: “There is no such thing as living as a woman.
“We are women. And it is our female biology which makes us women. It is our sex.” (continues)

It took place on 25th May 2019

This was the UK launch of the international human rights campaign:

Declaration on Women's Sex-based Rights
Summary:

"The Declaration outlines current international laws and policies on women’s rights and how they are being threatened by organisations that are trying to change the definition of woman. It reaffirms existing women’s rights and suggests ways that states should promote and protect them. It was drafted with input from women internationally. Launching in March 2019, the Declaration is a clear call to law and policy makers to retain the sex-based biological definition of woman." (continues)

Women's Human Rights Campaign (WHRC) is a group of volunteer women from across the globe dedicated to protecting women's sex-based rights. Our volunteers include academics, writers, organizers, activists, and health practitioners, and aim to represent the total breadth of the human female experience.

The Declaration on Women's Sex Based Rights was created by the founders of WHRC to lobby nations to maintain language protecting women and girls on the basis of sex rather than "gender" or "gender identity". (continues)

I could weep, I really could.
Leeds City Council is planning a Drag Queen Story Hour with “Aida H Dee”, to take place tomorrow, 22nd June.

Hi all,

Thanks for the reports.

A number of accusations have been made in this thread, so we're taking it down for now whilst we check behind the scenes.

[Edit - we are now leaving the thread open but will be closing further comments for the time being]

This thread is a duplication of an existing thread where the OP tried not to get PN in the title. (They just love mumsnet giving them publicity)
