Why ARE RSE materials kept secret from parents?

Having seen some of them, especially the stuff from the Proud Trust, (the subject of an excellent article by Shelley Charlesworth and Transgender Trend) I can see why the producers don’t want parents to see what they are up to. Encouraging girls to remove their boundaries and promoting porn is not a great look for ‘educational materials’ is it?

I certainly would be taking my child out of PHSE lessons if the school would not show me the materials nor tell me who would be delivering the lessons.
How the hell are these non-experts allowed to write and distribute these materials? The DofE has been asleep at the wheel for a hell of a long time.
Looks like I’ll be writing to Gavin Williamson again!

Ask your school what they are doing regarding the new curriculum from September. My daughters school (Primary) has said it is putting together a panel made up of teachers and parents to go through the plans - I’ve already volunteered to be on it.

Sorry, when I say “ask your school” I don’t mean YOU personally, as you’ve probably already done so, but a generic “you” meaning all parents.
