Threats from transactivists in Ireland.

Just getting it out there that transactivists in Ireland have been making threats to any woman who has wanted to discuss the effect self-id is having on women's rights in Ireland. If anyone Irish is reading, you need to be aware. If you support these people, you need to know what you're supporting, and if not, you need to be aware of the threats that are being made. One of these people works for TENI and has spoken at a National Council for Women in Ireland conference.

Ffs and Ireland is always held up as the example of where the trans changes have gone swimmingly with everyone happy Hmm

Intimidation into silence is not quite the same

What kind, inclusive, loving people.

As opposed to psychopathic, violent thugs.

A woman protested about this on Twitter and she was relentlessly harassed and targeted as a result. I won't link to the thread.

This is what they want. For us to be terrified, hammered and smashed.

But they are the most vulnerable, we're told and their violent threats are just what we should expect when we question them. It's classic DARVO.

Thanks for the screenshots, I will be using them in my email to my MP later as evidence that nothing is enough for the TRAs.

Lundy Bancroft in his books often references how many of the convicted violent male offenders he works with paint themselves as the victim. With a whole lot of 'if x hadn't done such and such and upset me I wouldn't have been forced to smash their face in with a hammer'.

Oh mad mimmy retweeted that one, so I think we will see more of that. Dodgy stats about suicide and murder didn't work, so now it's genocide. Any bets that they try to link that book being quoted to J K?

In other news, Amy whatsherface is still gong on about the International League of Powerful Lesbians, so you'd better watch out and disguise your evil lezzer ways. Try lipstick or something, that ought to fool them.

I was reading some threads from other forums that had been linked on here last night. I don't know if it was Lipstick Alley or The Coli which said something along the lines of - The group doing most harm to transgender people are TRAs.

Ain't that the truth.

Ok that stuff is getting a bit close to home now isn't it?
Watched and appalled at Canada (JY) and US (Cyclist).

In my profession there is a lot of emphasis on child protection and understanding how well-intentioned people can collude or be coerced into supporting harmful behaviour.

I cannot fold.

Yet these are the same people who would claim to be "vulnerable" and "terrified" while in reality it's just more male violence against women. It baffles me that people cant realise this. So many people on my fb screaming about terfs, that I would honestly be scared to post anything against their agenda.

I don't use FB but surely you could block people shouting about terfs? Unless it's your mum or something Smile

Ireland is trying to walk before it can run. It's a shit place for women's rights and they've shelved that fight and are trying to look woker than woke.
First marital rape conviction was in 2002: link
Abortion is limited to before 12 weeks and there's a three day wait between appointment and procedure, so women still travel to the UK for one: link
1932-1973 married women weren't allowed to work in the public sector, as de Valera wanted women to stay at home.and have babies.
1937-1995 divorce was illegal.
Until 1976 a man could sell the family home without knowledge or permission from his wife.
You couldn't buy a condom without a prescription until 1985.
Symphysiotomies were carried out on women against their will because caesarians might affect future births and women were there to make babies. Some left the women unable to walk.
A 17 year old girl raped in a lane has her knickers discussed in court to prove she was up for it, defendant is found not guilty: www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46207304
Of course the case where the teenage victim later killed herself after having her knickers physically held up in court was in woke Scotland.
Both countries with terrible police (PACE doesn't exist in Scotland and the Masons network there is huge in policing), terrible conviction rates, massive alcoholism and domestic violence and both countries consider themselves superior to England where at the very least the record keeping is more accurate.
(Some of the countries with the lowest recorded rape rates are the most dangerous).
I'm quite sick of the attitude of Irish activists. Get your own house in order first, how dare they claim to be feminists arguing for the rights of crossdressing males when the rights of females are so fragile? Why are they pretending things are hunky-dory over there?

A fine of 500 euro for first time offence of soliciting a prostitute applies in Ireland, 1000euro for each further offence. But let your dog foul on the street and a maximum fine of 3000euro applies. So women in Ireland are literally worth less than dog shit. I am beyond tired and frustrated with how women are devalued and degraded every damn day.

FlyingOink they have been influenced by a small group of TRAs who have successfully captured orgs like NWCI and the Repeal the 8th campaign. They have a disproportionate influence, when most ordinary Irish women don't even know what the GRA 2015 means for women and girls' rights. The law passed with no public consultation or impact assessment, and even the review was very under-advertised and compromised by the fact that the review board contained people who drafted the very legislation they were reporting on.

They have fought hard to drown out dissenting voices, smear them as right-wingers whose views are on the fringes of acceptable discourse, but it is in fact they who are the extremists. So please don't assume they represent most ordinary people.

What's driving them mad at the moment is that incidents like the JK Rowling affair have provoked discussion for the first time. It's narcissistic rage.

They don't care about the rapist in the women's prison. They will tell you that women rape too and that it's no big deal. They don't give a shit.

We can support the writer by reporting her harassers, by sharing their violent threats with as many people as possible.

Thank you, that makes more sense. A lot of politicking seems to happen behind the scenes, the usual boys club bullshit is going strong.
