JK Rowling's tweet has opened up the flood gates for all sort of tweets, articles, ideas and quotes that I'm feeling really inspired and enjoying the chance to discover new information and writers that I have previously missed.

Thanks BoF, for that link. God, that's terrible - that there were women in the holding cell with her who'd been there for 7 days without access to phone calls or seeing a judge. And healthcare workers arrested for "burglary" while their patient pleaded for them not to be taken away. And a 12 year old boy!

This is why the whole "I'm not watching that because it's right/left wing" thing gives me the rage so badly. Yes, Rebel News is very right wing - but from the sound of it, Slatz was doing a good job of reporting - covering the way the looting was being used politically by a minority, the fact that the majority were peaceful.

I love it. It's the point I've made over and over again to Woke Irish Twitter Hell, that in our country, in living memory we had women routinely sacked from their jobs on marriage, made to undergo medieval procedures like symphyiosotomy, prevented from controlling their fertility, incarcerated in institutions for getting pregnant out of wedlock, forced to give their children for adoption and treated like pariahs if they stepped outside the boundaries of Catholic morality. In 1992, a 14 year old rape victim was prevented from leaving the country to get an abortion because of the 8th amendment. Everyone knows what a woman is, it isn't fucking complicated, and here they are pandering to a load of men again and putting them first. Craven fucking idiots. Sorry, having a bad day scrolling through social media, some people really should be ashamed of themselves.
