I liked James Felton. He’s jumped on the bandwagon and is now targeting Mumsnet. Gonna have to mute him until he sees the light. Dammit.

Who is he?

OvaHere · 23/05/2020 00:18

I have no idea who he is.

Although I'm sure I saw a tweet going around from him earlier about having a newborn baby in lockdown so presumably he did understand the concept of biology and women at one point.

He is Draco Malfoy. Or someone from Busted. I get confused.

Report
Melroses · 23/05/2020 00:21

Well he obviously doesn't like to think that women might get union advice during lockdown.

He’s a comedy writer. Very funny usually and critical of the government (usually) where it’s due. I liked him very much until now. Very disappointing.

Someone has commented that presumably he has only assigned his son a sex at birth until his child can make up his own mind!

Shame. He's very funny. But time to unfollow.

And covering whoever else knows. Morning show. Times that X 10 and that's the fucking GMB 🤢

That’s disappointing but unsurprising, being a comedian and all. Anyone know of any comedians who aren’t under the influence GenderWooWoo?

I have to say, I'm watching with interest to see if the GMB cave or not.

That is quite an amazing attempt to organise a pile on. He went to a lot of trouble there. Gmb 's stance on trans does not seem to buy any goodwill, not surprisingly.

Why is he doing this. What happened to #bekind

I seem to remember him posting something during the Alice Roberts drama. Hope his wife ends up loving MN.

I saw this on twitter. Amazing. Mumsnet has how many million users? Not all of them are the feminism boards. It's like complaining that Facebook is transphobic because there are pages you don't like.
To object to possibly thousands of women, mostly mothers, accessing union advice because you don't like the platform its being disseminated on is one of the most arrogantly sexist takes I've seen on twitter in a while. And there's a lot to choose from.
It can't be any clearer just how little he thinks of women.

I've just had a look at Felton's twitter feed. It seems to be him trying to whip up twitter mobs over this and that. Is that what comedy writing is these days?

You're not meant to be kind to women, silly!

Is this man even a member of the union that he's trying to boss around?

Doyoumind · 23/05/2020 11:48

I think the problem with the vast majority of this ilk is that they have never visited MN to know anything about it and have never examined or engaged with any of the arguments but have picked up this idea we're all totally transphobic because other people have said so.

How true. Why does he not like women. ?

Why is he trying to stop women getting access to info ?

How weird

He's quote tweeting that awful Rosie too.

I've never heard of him. I had a look at his Twitter feed which was neither funny, nor, witty nor entertaining. He seems to be the standard issue smug, sanctimonious, supercilious, scolding lefty bloke.

I see he has written a book called "52 Times Britain was a Bellend"- complete with crude drawings on its cover. It seems to be a very short book padded out with drawings and lots of spaces in the text. I suspect the 1 or 2 star reviews on Amazon are the most reliable.

These lefty scolding dudes. The6 love giving it out to how women should behave 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

He’s turned off the reply function so he can say whatever he wants without having anyone commentator challenge. Coward. Why is he using Twitter considering what a cesspit it can be - hypocrite and a coward

Good point IKEA, he seem a to have missed the irony of complaining about how people conduct themselves on SM platforms to Twitter of all places. I'm cringing for him 🤦
