Creepy AGP reviews on M&S website

I've noticed quite a few online reviews from men of M&S lingerie. These knickers are the latest I've seen. 3 reviews, 2 of which are by men.
I get the feeling that the review is part of the AGP fetish. It reminds me of flashing in that it's intended to make women/girls feel uncomfortable/shocked/embarrassed. I've seen men reviewing bras from the "Angel" first bra range too.

You can usually tell as they give each other loads of likes Wink [vom]

Also, they are nylon. Not woman friendly.

Those look like an elasticated nappy, so maybe we're seeing some fetish crossover.

And guess what they can try them on next to you as you get your bra fitted

Well, not right now, which is probably the first upside to lockdown I'm aware of.

They do seem a bit nappy like. I guess men who like to wear knickers would shop in M&S. Maybe the first reviewer thought his review would help others like him. I don't really see a problem with it, but it would definitely put me off buying them!

Shall we crowdfund for j** the panty guy at this trying time?

I'm sure the article with the panty guy crying on his front steps while clutching a pair of knickers in his lonely hands is in the works!

Maybe the first reviewer thought his review would help others like him.

No there have been loads of them for ages. A lot of the more prolific ones have been taken off as the range has stopped being sold.

I first noticed it when I was trying to find a full length petticoat to go under a dress I had made, and a man was overgushing on the sexy slip stuff and wearing it in bed - thought it must be a OTT woman writing on her DH's account, but then realised there were loads.

They don't have 'gender' on them anymore, so the reviews have got more explicit.

SarahTancredi · 17/05/2020 16:54

Yes I'd noticed they had removed the gender bit

Shame, it was fun reading about how the reviewer and his wife liked to wear matching knickers and that they have them in all the colours and with the matching bra

Remember - M&S reviews are submitted then ‘passed’. So they are either hunky dory with this or too weasly feart of these groups.

That makes me think of the theory of fetishes being formed in childhood. Wasn't women wearing slips to bed a thing in some older films? You could probably guess the age of the blokes buying them based on that.

I think all 3 of those reviews are by men. When do women write about ‘panties’ giving them ‘support’ or concern themselves with how ‘discreet’ they are under shorts.

I would ignore. It’s a product, it’s legal to wear them, shrug and ignore, don’t give them the attention and shock they hope for.

M&S may find it doesn’t boost their sales, but who cares in nylon pants get discontinued.

Well we have been told it would never happen.

No choice but to act as if it's entirely normal so as to maintain the pretence of women being hysterical Hmm

I think all three reviews are men. And I think the pants are for men.

Certainly support is a thing women are unlikely to be looking from from their knickers.

That might explain it - I couldn't think why anyone would want to be going to bed in a cheap polyester slip instead of a nighty, lace or no lace. It is hardly Janet Reagar/Agent provocateur or whatever is the latest tat.

I used to work for a call centre for a shop I wont name and we were told on our induction that it was not uncommon for men to ring up and try and get the female staff to describe underwear to them. Apparently we had one particular "customer" who would keep calling back until a woman answered the phone. Luckily I never encountered any, but I only worked there 3 months. The managers were more annoyed that these blokes never purchased anything than anything else! Angry

This just made me think of that.

So blatantly about fetish.

I think for a lot of men what they fetishize in terms of undergarments, shoes etc will be based on what their mother wore when they were little.

(Insert the vomiting smiley I keep requesting here.)

I have never seen anything like those red ruffly nylon ones on display in an actual M&S shop so I wouldn’t be surprised if they know the online market is men.

Totally naff pants. Have these men no taste?

Yes, you're right, but they seem to have put them in the wrong section?

Grim.

I’ve stopped buying underwear from M&S as I don’t want to buy pants that men have been trying on. Yes, I’m old-fashioned.

Panties 🤢

You only call them panties if your starring in a porn film or trying to ignore your Y chromosome.

Report
TheProdigalKittensReturn · 17/05/2020 17:03

Well, there's a significant minority of men who get off on wearing nappies, so if they also like knickers I suppose those would be a two birds with one stone sort of deal. A bargain, really.
