I see they are already asking for money.... sigh

Denying existence, biology isn't real, clownfish burble...

and the sane voices continue to point out you've already said all this, (endlessly, you have said all this) and it's still untrue, hyperbolic and anti women.

They have nothing but to keep on churning out the same tired claptrap.

Currently run by a cis-male ally and not affiliated with the party

Well I'm convinced. 😂

So they're just identifying as Tories

To be fair, a good chunk of the country are identifying as Tories at the moment.

I’m going to start a ‘Tory campaign to rejoin the EU’ twitter. I think I’ll end up with more followers.

Not clicking (their click rates are used to prove to advertisers how popular they are). What’s the gist?

Report
ErrolTheDragon · 27/02/2020 18:40

The gist is Our aim is to lead the campaign for progressive Trans rights within the Tory party. Currently run by a cis-male ally and not affiliated with the party.

And so far has a 'fantastic response' consisting of 4 retweets, 12 likes and a handful of comments, not all positive.

The Labour one isn't affiliated with the party yet either. It too was only formed a few weeks ago, presumably by someone who thought the existing LGBT+ Labour group wasn't extreme enough.

Of course, it has gained a sort of de facto semi-official status in a way, in that most of the leadership candidates have endorsed its pledge card.

In retrospect (or did this happen?) Labour feminists should have put forward a pledge card too and seen if it got any signatures.

I need to wear my screen glasses - I misread the title and thought it was a TOY campaign!

Not so much ‘let toys be toys’ but let toys be...

Westminster doesn’t need any more “drivel” about gender identity.

Quite right, must be the only thing Dom Cummings and I agree on.

Report
TwistedEyeOfHorus · 27/02/2020 19:42

Can we report them as a suspicious page? As they're not actually affiliated?

Report
Needmoresleep · 27/02/2020 19:48

Yes, wasn’t the LGB Conservative twitter account shut down. If that was not acceptable to Twitter, because it was apparently ‘confusing’, why should this be?

Report
GlitterToast · 27/02/2020 20:06

The Tories aren't stupid enough to take this on.

Look up @LabWomenDec on Twitter - Labour Women’s Declaration

Way before the trans rights jokers. AFAIK, it has been steadfastly ignored by all leadership & deputy leadership candidates.

Good look with converting the Tories, whoever concocted this.

Ugh, the dishonesty of, "they deny our existence!"

Do I deny the existence of Christians? Sikhs? Hindus? Jews? Muslims?

I respect any faith belief. I respect people to live in the way they sincerely believe to be honest and which will allow them to be happy. I'll defend their right to do that to the absolute hilt, too.

But I don't have to dismiss my own beliefs about the world - which would also include basic factual realities, like sex being binary (and please stop throwing people with DSDs under the bus over this too, thanking you kindly; a difference of sexual development does not stop someone being a man or a woman in almost all cases). And I don't have to sacrifice my own rights, either. Especially for a group of males, seeking to remove those from females, with the loud and very obvious backing of the entire Establishment, while screaming oppression and marginalisation.

Fortunately, the Tory party have a shining talent for survival. Probably their main skill set. This is no hill they will be willing to die on. They're extremely well aware that Labour are helpfully tearing each another apart over it, and have no desire to join us anytime soon.

Can't see many senior ministers signing this pledge.
