WPUK conference missed connections

If you were chatting with someone after the WPUK Women's Liberation conference and drunkenly wandered off failed to exchange details did you just embrace the ever-changing nature of the universe, que sera sera etc or have you imagined a FWR missed connections post?

I had the most entertaining chat about strict parenting which I'm still laughing about.

Think I was pretty good at pinning people down to their online presence most of the day,... Started to fray at end of the networking session & had a proper blip around the time I drank two bottles of beer but then my attention came back as the bar ran dry! Didn't talk about strict parenting in that time though, more about geography & peculiar cider farm stories with some great but probably forever contactless people.

I was finding people on Facebook and Twitter the whole day. It was easier than trying to connect with them later.
The local groups proved very helpful.

I gave my email to a dark haired young woman who worked in a university who was in the workshop about women's biology, we spoke about the surrogacy consultation and proposed changes to the law.

We were both sitting with a woman who had brought her daughter along.

I'm not sure she's even on Mumsnet so this could be a shot in the dark but if you're out there I hope I wrote my email down properly!

Oh gosh, by that stage my brain was a bit melted so the details are fuzzy. I feel like we chatted for a while about the speakers and workshops and MN. Were we educating newcomers about the rigidly-enforced queue at the bar?

Yes I think it must have been us chatting by the table before a tall woman & man joined us for a while, who told us the strange cider farm in Suffolk tale... Was lots of coming and going at that point though.

Have to say WPUK 2020 conference helped put a lot of faces to names from social media, which I love. Big up all the awesome women out there #solidarity 💐
