Actually it occurs to me that if misgendering is literal violence, getting a cop’s pronouns wrong equates to an assault on a police officer.

Most of the comments concern the police wasting time on this nonsense, when there are plenty of actual crimes in need of policing. This is, of course, well deserved.

But on a more serious note, I am actually horrified at the implication that if a woman is raped or assaulted by a man claiming female pronouns, the victim would be compelled to talk about her inserting her penis into the her vagina/anus/mouth.

This is the police collaborating in coercive control, which, ironically, is also crime.
