Susanna Reid is pissing me off. Not letting CF get a word in

WTF is wrong with these people?

Caroline is doing really well in such as a hostile environment.

Why is Piers being such an arse? He’s tweeted similar himself?

HairyPotter · 25/03/2019 08:19

Unfortunately I think it was a mistake to agree to appear on GMB. While Piers might come across as GC, he is more interested in arguing the opposite just to shout over women.

Agree PM misogyny is stronger than anything else

That was a really poor interview. I think Caroline did very well. Expected better from Piers but should've be surprised I guess.

Shouldn't!

Caro is on TalkRadio about 9.25am this morning too with Julia Hartley-Brewer

I only caught the last minute but thought you did really well Caroline against the constant interruptions. Piers and Suzanne think you shouldn't be personal but it is personal as it is SGs personal experience that has given her the platform (and "expertise") to be indoctrinating thousands more kids.

Just seen you are doing Talk Radio with JHB later. Good luck there are many of us that are 100% behind you..

Reid was rude, I think she sees how popular it makes Piers, but she really isn't intelligent enough to pull it off.

I say it every time PM raises his unpleasant head, he’s on nobody’s side but his own. He’d argue black was white just to take the opposite line.He sees himself as an agitator, when he’s nothing more than a shit stirrer.

Report
JessicaWakefieldSVH · 25/03/2019 09:24

Yeah he’s an agitator for sure. He himself just made fun of Sam Smith so it’s pretty absurd for him to tell people not to be personal on Twitter. Susanna is pretty much what I’d expect. I only just learnt that Margaret Atwood thinks TWAW! I just think anyone in the public eye will be reluctant to be anything but accepting, except obviously for the groups we are allowed to attack, like Christians and radical feminists etc

The wimpering 'hurtful' line was making me gip

This is about free speech

Also Caroline has been on the receiving end of worse

Caroline was excellent, so many points to make and the interviewers doing that dreadful thing where they try and poise themselves as reasonable and in the middle but they are just stirring the pot and looking to provoke.

That is so disappointing about Margaret Atwood.
Sad

Oh well, it doesn't matter. Margaret Astwood is a raging bigot for her hurtful exclusionary novel about women's biology.

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 25/03/2019 09:54

Yes it is disappointing about Atwood.... weirdly something just popped up on my YouTube recommended, a Piers Morgan interview with Johnny Rotten a few years ago which reveals a suppressed part of a BBC interview with Johnny in 1978 where he says exactly what Jimmy Saville was up to. Piers very interestingly talks about how bad it was Johnny was suppressed for being too controversial, how the bbc treated him etc he was trying to protect children and everyone around him was turning a blind eye. Piers should watch that interview back himself and ask himself wtf he is doing defending a woman that paid to have the healthy genitals of her child removed, and now is in schools etc advising people on transgender issues.

So disappointing about Margaret Atwood.

There seems to be something in the maple syrup in Canada that makes them all loopy.

Who knows what's going through Piers Morgan's head? It was him retweeting Caroline's tweet a week or so ago about being questioned by the police that made the story spread far and wide. I imagine he's on Caroline's side but thought it would make for better television if he was antagonistic towards her. I didn't watch it, by the way.

Piers will swing which ever way the wind blows in order to promote him self.

He'll soon be blowning the other way, when he realises most people agree with Caroline.

What world do we live in, where this is being defended. Confused

Report
JessicaWakefieldSVH · 25/03/2019 10:51

I honestly don’t know. I’m sure people like Johnny Rotten thought the same when he knew and everyone else knew that Saville wasn’t above board and was silenced for speaking out.

Report
Melroses · 25/03/2019 10:56

I think Johnny Rotten was just an easy person to suppress for his 'bad boy image'. People aren't always what they are portrayed to be.

I remember Stephen Fry on Intelligence Squared talking about plain language. Interestingly he was debating on the Catholic Church - and they were talking about 'child abuse' by Priests (sorry Caro)- he said let's call it what it is - child rape.

Language matters. Gender reassignment surgery for M2F involves castration - how can it not? Patients are left infertile. Obviously.

It's not 'top surgery' - it's a double mastectomy. The only other reason a woman would have a double mastectomy is to stop her dying of breast cancer. It is traumatic surgery.

I heard girls as young as 13 are getting mastectomies in the US - how can a cild of 13 possibly be mature enough to make this decision?

How can minors possibly be mature enough to make any of these life-changing decisions about 'gender identity' - it's ludicrous. I use to change my mind about "who I was" every bloody week at that age.

So big man Piers can be cowed with the threat of being branded a transphobic bigot. How pathetic.
