This is an idea for action International Women's Day - March 8th

It is a Friday so MPs should be in their constituency....... lets go visit them :

  • Give them something purple, green and white flair (paper flowers, balloons, flags...). Or if they are not in decorate the front of their office . Take photos.
  • Talk to your MP about single sex spaces and services
  • Leave them with a single job to do: write to the Minister for Women and Equalities and ask her to initiate an inquiry/call for evidence by the Government Equalities Office on single sex exemptions in the Equality Act 2010.

Good plan - and I like the idea of leaving them with a single thing to do. I've been putting off a face-to-face after multiple email brush offs but it's the only way to get them off the fence and oblige them to respond to this issue.

Yes, I need to see my MP, although she only graces us with her presence once a month! I will take her a small, homemade, purple, green and white rosette.

A friend went to see her MP last week and he refused to admit that he had heard anything about a Gender Debate.

Then off to the March!

Thanks RedemptiveCrocodile !
Have made it a FB event here www.facebook.com/events/1217636538385333/permalink/1217647578384229/

Milletsent the march is on Saturday. See you there!

Oldstyle Yes a single thing they can do, and a thing that doesn't depend on them agreeing with us. I don't think there is any argument against needing clearer guidance about the law, so that frontline workers and service providers are not put in impossible positions, and women and transwomen know their rights.
