School girls gaslit en masse after encountering 'naked man' in swimming pool shower

www.kesq.com/news/female-water-polo-players-confronted-by-naked-man-at-palm-springs-swim-center/987276858

The girls found a naked man in the women's shower, which they objected to, describing him as a 'predator'.

The police investigated and said that actually, sorry girls, he's not a man, she's a woman, so STFU, basically.

eu.desertsun.com/story/news/2019/01/24/pool-getting-unisex-shower-formal-policy-after-teens-encounter-trans-woman/2670287002/

It does beg the question of what is the appropriate response when a girl finds a naked man in the changing room, as there doesn't seem to be any possible way to distinguish a 'naked man' from a 'transwoman', nor indeed whether it is safe to be around that person's penis (common sense and practice for basically the entire world's population except those gaslit by TRAs says 'no')

Why are they working hard to avoid a sense of segregation? Who needs to consider someone else’s feelings about showers? It’s about nudity and privacy! Put fucking locks on them!

All emphasis on how the transgender person felt absolutely nothing about feelings girls having to change with men? Staggering. All about what men want.

Police were called to the pool, but did not pursue a case, telling News Channel 3:

"All parties were contacted. No arrests were made as no laws were broken."

This is exactly the problem with "well in the unlikely event a creep takes advantage of the massive gaping safeguarding loopholes we aim to create, you ladies can just call the police!"

What utter bullshit.

I know! Harassment?! Excuse me?

That poor brave woman using the shower - note that transwomen rarely use the showers for fear of harassment like this.

Those two reports are written very differently. Confused

An entire cohort of girls and young people with no ability to enforce boundaries. Who feel they can’t say no due to social and authority pressure. Who have no expectation of rights to bodily privacy and dignity. Fearing punishment for speaking out or describing the reality in front of them. Putting men’s sexual rights and fetishes before everything.

What could possibly go wrong?

If there are female rooms though they won't use the unisex.

If they make everything unisex the girls are at risk.

What part helps anyone but men here Angry

'Palm Springs Police Sgt. Mike Casavan told The Desert Sun nothing illegal occurred and no one was arrested. Authorities said the individual identifies as a woman.

"She was interviewed and is undergoing transition," he said.'

Seems like a good way to get off an indecent exposure charge.

MrsFogi if they used the shower that matched their body type there'd be no concerns.
Unfortunately the accessories by which women are supposed to tell someone with a male body isn't really such as gold lame pocketbooks and pink tops aren't visible in the shower whereas a penis and male physique tends to be rather obvious

I have just made a comment, lets see if they let it stand.

"If it is a question about making people feel comfortable, then how about making the situation comfortable for women and girls first, by not letting male bodied people use ther showering facilities."

Freespeecher · 25/01/2019 12:22

It started with toilets and changing rooms and showers were the logical next step. Maybe it takes something like this for enough people to come to their senses and think that this cannot stand.

Getting your dick out in a women's changing room in front of young girls is not on, no excuses. Totally unbelievable! Angry

A simple no penises in female changing facilities would make a better policy as that is clear.

Now it has been established that any man can enter female changing facilities and claim they are transistioning as an excuse / reason.

If they were a transwomen wouldn't they be making counter allegations of hate crime and misgendering?
How do the police know they are telling the truth when the very investigation would he labelled transphobic

Posted too soon. Maybe women and girls should identify out of their gender and into a heavily-armed-and-ready-to-attack gender instead. I can’t help but feel there’s be fewer instusive penises in changing rooms if everyone knew we had cutting tools and were prepared to use them

Can I-will-chop-it-off-if-I-see-it be a gender now too please

From pictures it looks like a single, open air pool, not an indoor complex with multiple pools in seperate rooms.

Presumably the girls’ water polo team has fixed training times, so if a person wanted to be seen naked by a whole group of high school girls, it would be easy to anticipate the exact moment when you would have to be exposed, to ensure maximum exposure?

And similarly, if you wanted to ensure you weren’t in the shower when the high school girls were, you could arrange your schedule accordingly?

I’ve sometimes done a few extra lengths to avoid the changing rooms at peak school swimming times. Not because I have a penis but because a) I think girls should be given as much privacy as possible when partially dressed or naked, especially when their parents are not present and b) because my almost completely tattooed body makes some of them think I’m a sea monster, and while I am absolutely entitled to do whatever the fuck I want with my body (within the constraints of the law) I don’t think my choices entitle me to make children uncomfortable, nor force them to learn about adult topics before they are ready, especially with no parents there to mediate.

If they make a 3rd space for the trans woman would they still be allowed to use the female showers by law?
Until the law is changed this will go on happening. The girls' privacy is no longer protected in law.

MadgeMidgerson · 25/01/2019 12:54

A third space would be deemed discriminatory as TWAW

a ‘we carry sharp objects and dislike penises’ space may be possible, no bar to anyone entering

This just exposes the very valid concerns of all us terfs-that young women will be forced to shower next to naked men. If the pool does provide a mixed sex changing room, will Male bodied people who feel like women, be expected to use it? Or can they still use the womens as they are transitioning?

CandleConcerto · 25/01/2019 12:56

GerryblewuptheER · 25/01/2019 12:57

Course they can still use it.

There's no point in this unisex facility. Unless they are removing the sex segregated rooms altogether. But surprise surprise there's no mention of the men's changing rooms here....
