Still here but then didn't post on feminism.

BTW I did have a cool conversation on twitter, started just answering and led to direct messages to a lovely lady who used to be a gentleman and basically agrees with al the issues that have been raised on feminism boards and more importantly was happy to discuss.

She believes that the terms 'TERF' and 'cis' are now so tainted they should not be used because they are now seen purely as insults.

They are targeting certain people at the moment; those who have the most intelligent and convincing arguments.

So I'll be here for decades to come, I reckon.

the thing is regarding targeted reporting, I believe the gender critical view has reached critical mass on the FWR board.

I genuinely think that if some of the most prolific and persuasive posters are silenced that won't mean the GC view point gets silenced on this board. It just means some of the supporting cast will step up to make the same arguments - maybe not as eloquently, but that view point will still be expressed.

I really think we're past the point of being able to silence the gender critical view point by silencing individuals.

So if you're trying to do that STOP IT.

I've been lurking for months if not years, thinking 'well, I agree with these clever women, but they don't need my two pennorth - they've got this!'

I think a lot of us thought something similar...but if prolific, articulate posters are being picked off, there's plenty more of us standing behind them.
