I thought it was getting quite educational - crumpets, bees, toast, hornets, newts...

Bees are amazing, beautiful, creative, important insects. I love bees.

Wasps are angry, nasty, stingy bastards. Their bikes (nests) are wonderful, complex and rather beautiful though.

Hornets were made by Mother Nature when she had raging PMT!

I like runny honey but not the stuff that looks like earwax.

Can you 'fix' runny honey when it's gone all lumpy and grainy?

I am slightly obsessed with bees - they are so amazing.

AAPF Put the jar in a bowl of hot water for about 15 mins to warm it up. Should sort it out.

On the herbal tea front, I agree with whoever recommended hibiscus. Just a little bit makes any infusion (see - I'm learning!) a beautiful pink.

I loooove bees and tea.

However, I have to stand up for wasps. They are the predators of many many garden pests and DO have a useful role to play.

I tried that but it's still gritty - not too bad if you are cooking with it but horrible if you top your yoghurt with it!

Who the hell has time for this in the 21st century? Maple syrup rules! Plus trees are more huggable than bees. True fact.

If you see these among aphids, it means you have a type of braconid wasp that lays its eggs inside the aphid and the grubs eat and kill it from the inside.

Some types eat caterpillars too, but normal wasps also eat pests. So not all that bad.

Bees are very cute though. All fat and fuzzy.

Bees make honey.
Wasps make mustard.
The WI make jam. #fact

I smell fake news there, Upstart. Wasps make nests out of spit and wood cellulose. Their skills do not lie in a culinary direction.

I don't know about bees and such, but I'm still reeling from all the lack of butter on toast.

I am vegan so don’t eat honey. I like agave nectar though.

Honeybees don't have to die when they sting you. If you can resist the reaction to swat them off, they can unscrew their sting;

I was so annoyed that thread was deleted. It was brilliant. Thank you for posting that picture showing the difference between bees, wasps and hornets. 😁

There was a 'late night tapper' who kindly came on board to tell all us girlz how to manage our careers, childcare and life in general.

They knew best because if their vast knowledge and experience (asking the girls in the office) and earning loadsamoney.

It was decided that crumpets bees are infinitely more interesting (need) and intelligent (crumpets) than the OP but the thread got pulled anyway.

Noooo, damn, I loved that thread. It was all tea, wasps, bunnies and turd harvesting. I came in at the end, but had to go to bed. So I missed being there in real time and missed the end tooAngry.

Poopy. Couldn't they just have pulled all his posts (they were boring anyway), and left all the brilliant lovely MNer posts?!
