[I should confess. Natasha was a friend of a friend about 10 years or so ago and the words self-absorbed and narcissistic don't even begin to do justice, and every time I hear her touted as a role model, I die a little inside]

But anyway. Is she seriously so self-absorbed that she thinks that her experience and her preferences are the only important ones? I thought she was meant to be empowering kids or whatever she is doing. What about the experiences of the actual victims of assault who are really concerned about self-ID and men in women's spaces. Her desperation to be as 'woke' as possible would be funny if she wasn't throwing herself and all other women under a bus at the same time. You were assaulted and feel super-happy being around stranger men in a so-called safe space? Good for you- here is a medal, but don't you dare make presumptions about how other victims of male sexual violence feel.

What a strange statement.

Extremely large numbers of women have been sexually assaulted at some point in their lives. She seems to assume that:

  • a. It's pretty rare for a woman to be sexually assaulted and
  • b. None of the women who disagree with her (terfs / bigots / whatever) have been sexually assaulted

It's just a complete logical fail all around.

I did like her work but think of her as someone who has got a bit carried along on her own sense of self-importance. She reminds me of the person in my A level English class who never read the books but managed to dominate the class discussion as she always had something to say and was able to sound convincing to those who would not know otherwise. I get that she works with teenagers and wants to respect their views but there are plenty of professionals who work with young people and manage to do that without having to act so 'down with the kids'. She has no place jumping into this arena from what appears to be a place of ignorance.

Yup, when I knew her, she was trying to break into the music industry without success. But I guess she has now achieved her dream of becoming famous (sort of).

So, if I get this straight, she is a 'cis-woman' and Lily Madigan is just a 'woman'. Okaaaaayyy. This reminds me of that brochure where a 'vagina' was described as what a trans woman has post-surgery and an actual vagina was a 'front hole'. We should just admit defeat- men are just better at everything, including being women.

It never ceases to amaze me how people like that manage to obtain responsible positions in society.

Yes, I saw this and wondered who she was. She has an MBE though? I hate her attitude too. Whatever experience you have had, only qualifies you to speak about how that experience was for you and not to project on anyone else. It's the same when some women say "oh I couldn't care less who changes next to me" etc as if they can't possibly imagine or comprehend that someone else might find it difficult.

Never heard of her, will probably have forgotten her name by next week.

It seems this is the argument du jour for trans activists and their allies. ''As a lesbian/DV survivor/victim sexual assault can I please ask that you stop using my experiences''. Interesting that it's coming out after lesbians/DV and sexual assault survivors have come forward to say the opposite, that their experiences matter and they should be listened to.

It's a terrible thing to do, a really cynical move to invalidate the voices of those who stand to be the most impacted.

Yes, seriously, if you knew her, you would realise that she is someone who should not not be a role model for kids. She does sound quite convincing in interviews but trust me, she is a grade A narcissist. I am pleased that there are quite a few replies to her stupid tweet, telling her how ridiculous it is. She seems very pro the trans-kids agenda.

I peaked Devon when she used to do the review of the papers on Sky. She said it was more important for gay men to have a certain drug for free (it was to save the poor souls from using a condom) than to approve a medication for children with cystic fibrosis.
Funnily enough she doesn't seem to be on there any more

Most of these characters are narcissistic it seems. There must be a narcissist and big gob gene which go hand in hand.
