FFS. The BBC just don't get it, do they? And bloody Paris Lees again Hmm

The BBC are appalling. It goes so far beyond 'don't get it'
The 100 women thing they have running has (iirc) 3 or 4 trans women included in the group. They don't represent me.

An Ofcom worthy complaint I think. Outrageous example of sexism.

Well, the BBC are being VERY CLEAR.

Women, actual females, they are not to be heard. They must not speak. They must not be listened to. They have no voice.

We are silenced.

Well, the BBC are being VERY CLEAR.

Quite. They can’t be this thick, surely, so it does begin to look deliberate.

And on it goes

God it is so depressing.

I am starting to despair.

Just tried to complain to the BBC (Ofcom won’t accept complaints that have not gone through the BBC first). I didn’t manage to navigate my way through their online complaints system, perhaps because I do not live in the U.K., but if anyone else wants to try, the link is here.

I would say unbelievable but unfortunately it's not :(

Thank you for the link LostSight. I have filled in the online complaint form - I had to select the category "general BBC" as the online system does not have a category for podcasts, and it won't let you complain about iplayer content as far as I can see....

This is what I wrote, with a copy/paste of the first part of Nick Robinson's tweet

Hoping I can complain despite not having twitter, although id set up an account purely to keep up with how far down the rabbit hole we are going, despite it enrages me!

Even if they count Paris as a woman, surely they'd need a woman of the opposing viewpoint to actually debate it too?

Report
LangCleg · 10/02/2018 13:21

Complaint sent.

Datun · 10/02/2018 13:23

As far as I know Paris Lees won't debate with any women who know what they're talking about.

But God only knows why they even had to have Lees on. They could've picked a number of other transwomen who are gender critical.

Oh, you know, not include men at all.

Someone tweet that they should ask Lees why treated like a piece of meat is awesome. And how they feel that might impact things like the #metoo campaign issue.

They can agree that objectification is hot, on the one hand whilst understanding women's fears of sexual harassment on the other?

Next up, Nick Robinson interviews a member of the National Rifle Association on why UK should bring its gun laws in line with the US

That would be the Paris Lee's who, in addition to being biologically male, thinks street harassment is empowering, watching yourself in the mirror being fucked while you cry is sexy and loves being spit-roasted. Great choice BBC.

And I have no idea why my fucking phone has gone rogue on me and put a random apostrophe in there.

FfsAngry

Something similar happened on The Wright Stuff the other week when a bunch of men (+ India Willoughby) were discussing whether TW should be allowed in women's spaces. Of course non of them understood what the problem was.
