It's a good idea to make feminist connections so that the feminist network is larger, stronger, better connected and isn't at a permanent disadvantage on monster sized sites like twitter. Divide and conquer is effective and can make you feel at a psychological disadvantage.
So. CONNECT: Today's easypeasy, takes-one-minute task to connecting us all up is this one:
Twitter: Go into your followers, and follow them all back (update here if you like)
- post your own easypeasy network building ideas like this.
Done. I generally follow people back straight away, so surprised a few seem to have slipped through the net!
Mine - pick a hashtag (eg #radfem #labourlosingwomen #gendercritical ) and get following anyone who seems to have similar views. This one is especially important I think, if you are a member of a political party that is promoting self ID, so you know you are not alone.
I've set up a new throwaway email account, and used that for a Twitter account, none of them have my real name or details, and I don't use either of them on my phone. Mainly because my real surname is pretty distinctive, and I don't want anything connecting to the rest of the family, not that I'm concerned about anything affecting me personally. I've chosen to be GC on Twitter, they haven't.
