This has just popped up on my Twitter, which I have re-tweeted. But beyond this, I don't actually know how or where to talk about it.

Basically, the Department for Education (DfE) has issued a call for evidence on updating Relationships and Sex Education guidance as well as Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (PSHE) for primary and secondary schools in England.

Did any of you know about this? Because I didn't. The deadline for this is next Monday at 11:59 am.
I am actually annoyed about this. I have a child who is of school age, and there has been no invitation from school about this.

I even work in a school, and again nothing. Not a word has been mentioned about this consultation.

I have two links and I hope i can share.
One gives ideas about what to write, that's the link that popped up on my feed. The other is a direct link.

There was a thread about this in feminism a couple of weeks back, but it's dropped off the front page. But yes, very important to do.

Also posted it in chat.

I responded, but I honestly can't remember how I stumbled across it. Stumbled is the right word though, as I don't recall any strong campaign about it. Spread the word!

I think I might have been on a government website and spotted a link...

Done! I had no idea this was being conducted. Will post it on our PTA website.

Will do this. And get anyone that will listen to me to do it too. This is so important!

I have both primary and secondary aged children currently at school - why were we not consulted about this??

I didn't have the fist clue till I read this thread.

I am responding and mentioning the fact it has clearly not been advertised to parents.

I would also like to know who it HAS been advertised to.

It was on here before Christmas - you must have had other things to do at that time. Smile

I was bumping the last one.

Not one person noticed it on my fb feed. Angry

I did know about this but only from here and other gender critical places.

It's really bad if parents of schoolchildren and people who work in schools haven't been told about this consultation.

I've filled this in. Will be interested to see the conclusion of the consultation.
