Former one, left when I became a "non man"

Again, former but left when I discovered I wasn't a woman after all. Non-man = non - direct debit.

Me too

Ditto

Sadly

Bit of an oxymoron?

Report
CisMyArse · 28/01/2018 17:47

Nope. I, along with my direct debit went 'poof' when they zapped me into non-man-non-existence.

Fuck you Green Party.

Another former non-male Green Party member here.

Life long voter/supporter, but not a member here. Well, former voter I should say...

And me, left when I became non man.

Interesting.
Always meant to tell the Green Party why I left, but in fact never did so.

Did anyone?

No, now you mention it, I just deleted the dd and flounced.

Not a member but a voter - we have a decent councillor here, but I should probably write to them. Any links to their policy?

I did on Twitter. Meant to follow it up with a letter but didn't bother after the tumbleweed I got in response online. Clearly they gave zero shits.

I cancelled my membership a year and a half ago.

I said, "I would like to cancel my membership. The green party's stance on transgender issues is not something I support and do not want my name to be a part of it."

It looks like I deleted the email I received in reply, but it was something along the lines of "sorry to see you go, we'll forward your concerns on to the relevant people blah blah blah"

I was only a paid up member for over a year, and am not particularly political in the first place, so I wasn't overly upset to cancel.

I just read the Green Party’s Responsibilities & Rights.

I won’t be voting for them in the local elections again.

UpABitLate · 28/01/2018 20:17

That is a VERY interesting link, hipster.

No I won't be voting for them again either.

I note that there is no section for women's rights - is that on a different page do you know? Or, do they not bother with those?

Report
UpABitLate · 28/01/2018 20:18

Shit sorry they'd call it uterus havers rights or something I suppose?

Or would it be non mens rights?

Femme presenting people's rights?

????

You know, when it comes to prostitution, they always talk about "decriminalisation".

Because, if they were to legalise it, it's immediately have to be all shut down on health and safety grounds.

I'd call it silly if it wasn't so fucking stupid.

UpABitLate · 28/01/2018 20:23

I've been searching and I don't think they have any mention of or policy about women at all.

I must admit I expected to find one somewhere but I honestly don't think there is one.

Fucking hell.

Well, fuck that then. Its there in black and white. Womens sport to be erased in a generation.

As regards the 'non men' though, I don't want this to become the TERF's winterval. Who said it, when, and where does it apply?

I ranted at a Scottish green once and they denied all knowledge. I ended up looking a bit silly.

They’re as bad as Labour especially in Scotland. Their Scottish leader Patrick Harvie is a misogynistic wee shit. He recently compared a concerned gender critical constituent who asked him to host a meeting to discuss women’s concerns to an Islamophobe or pro lifer. The Scottish Greens are firmly in the ‘transwomen are women #nodebate’ camp.

Morris, it was the Green Party Young Women's arm. Link:

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/feminists-mock-green-party-young-womens-invite-to-non-men-a6987061.html

Interestingly at that time it was evidently still seen as socially acceptable for the Independent to discuss, and even lead with, the women's rights angle. Oh how that has now changed.
