I'm coming from afar but hoping for half an hour in a pub after. Then the long dark journey home.

Do you think it'll be reasonably central? I'm almost tempted to come through from Glasgow...

Yes, that's my Valentine's Day excursion from the highlands sorted for DH and me. He'll love it I'm sure. Grin

If it isn't central I would share a taxi. Edinburgh is smaller than Glasgow at least!

I'm in Edinburgh so I'm going. On my own though, I don't think I know anyone who would want to go!

I'm thinking of taking some teenage girls with me. Anyone else taking DCs?

I would too.

Thinking I should - but also scared, and also thinking I can think of some people I know that might be protesting it.

Not taking dd to this but i took her to radfem12 and she liked Sheila Jeffreys' and gail dines's talks and had a lot of thoughts about femininity after, in relation to how it played out in her school.

Just bought my ticket - it'll be a bit tricky getting there in time but I'm definitely up for it if I can make it.

I'd love to go along but I'd be coming alone - slightly nervous of the issues in London recurring and getting caught up in it while I'm by myself....

Damn - was just about to gleefully buy my ticket when I've realized that it's during half term and I'm away. If anyone would like a meet up any other time I'm keen - I don't have any gender critical friends - or at least that I know of.

Really exciting that this is happening.

I'm so glad there'll be an Edinburgh one - just need to sort childcare then can book!

SonicBoomBoom · 22/01/2018 18:50

I'll be getting the train from Glasgow too.

Report
SonicBoomBoom · 22/01/2018 18:52

And would share a taxi. I'm pretty sure it will be somewhere really central though.

Also in Edinburgh but don’t want to go alone! Happy to share taxi/ meet for swift drink before hand 😂

I've bought my ticket!

I'm a short train journey from Glasgow, so maybe could meet up with others at Central or Queen's Street and we could get train to Edinburgh together. I don't know Edinburgh well at all - it has two big stations, a castle and trams - so a guide with local knowledge would be much appreciated!

I'd like to propose this

Vagina Anthem

By the Hungry Hearts to play on the train to Edinburgh.

It's catchy. Definitely worth a chorus of 'what the fuck is wrong with you' on the journeySmile

Ok this is going to sound really paranoid but if I book on eventbrite will it show on my FB events? I have at least one FB friend vocal on trans rights, and I can't face a pile-on. But nor do I want to stop using FB on my phone (which I also use eventbrite on). I know some events show up.
