Liam's first motion as women's officer is to get all women who point out he's a bloke (AKA "horrific transphobic abuse") expelled from the party. He's written this right after being rejected for the Jo Cox Programme.

I’ve written this motion against transphobia in the Labour Party. It would be great if members could propose the motion at their CLPs. Hopefully, we can get tougher rules enforced at annual conference. Please share 🌹

Transphobic Abuse in the Labour Party
Proposer: Lily Madigan
Seconder: X
Originally proposed by Lily Madigan

This Constituency Labour Party is disappointed at the sheer scale of transphobic abuse that is rampant among the ranks of the Labour Party, in particular from elected officers. Recently, we’ve seen an onslaught of transphobic abuse from members through social media, largely against trans members including young trans women. For a party that continues to fight for a just society, it is unthinkable that we allow any abusive behaviour in our ranks, in our elected officers, and government officials. As such, transphobic abuse should not be tolerated from Labour Party members.

This Constituency Labour Party notes that transgender and non-gender-conforming individuals are more likely to face abuse and this can lead to mental health problems, as shown by the Stonewall School Report 2017, which states that 45% of transgender pupils in UK schools have attempted to take their own life. This report shows that transgender individuals are at risk of abuse throughout their lives, and the Labour Party should not allow its members to partake in such abusive behaviour, in accordance with its aim of creating a just society.

This Constituency Labour Party believes that transphobic abuse should be seen as grounds for expulsion from the Labour Party, and that the Labour Party should commit to furthering transgender inclusivity in policy and the Labour Party itself. Therefore, if this motion is accepted, the Labour Party rules should be amended to make transphobic abuse grounds for expulsion, and that complaints regarding the behaviour of an elected officer of a Constituency Labour Party should be accepted from any individual, and should be sent to the Regional Labour Party to be dealt with.

We further believe that trans men are men, and trans women are women and as such should have equal access with cis counterparts to stand for, and participate with, all party programmes and roles within the Party and in government. This includes but is not restricted to allowing trans women equal consideration for all-women shortlists, officer elections and programmes aiding women such as the Jo Cox women in leadership programme."

He's clearly throwing a tantrum about being denied the Jo Cox and about this legal challenge to Labour:

DARVO is a term used to describe the tactics abusers use to demonize their targets.
Deny, Accuse, Reverse Victim and Offender.
Most AGPs fetishists posing as Trans exhibit abusive behavior. Certainly that is how this bloke achieved his current position.

EamonnWright · 15/01/2018 22:45

He's absolutely raging.

Good.

They will overplay their hand so I wouldn't want to correct him.

thebewilderness · 15/01/2018 22:45

Trans womn are women and trans men are men are both examples of the logical fallacy called begging the question. Srsly! You can look it up.

Betti935 · 15/01/2018 22:46

Did anyone affected every make a formal complaint (either to the Labour Party or preferably the Information Commissioner) about Lily threatening to misuse the personal data of female Labour members?

Superlandlady · 15/01/2018 22:48

Betti I would like to know that, too.

Someone has told me I should not have posted that link. I did not know at the time and there is no way for me to remove it now. What shall I do?

Ask MN to remove the link.

Who knew that the first motion would be to get women chucked out the party? Oh yeah, all the women that objected in the first place. How serendipitous/entirely predictable.

MiMi78 · 15/01/2018 22:52

God he's such a tedious prick isn't he.
Jo Cox award was probably the ultimate in validation for him.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 15/01/2018 22:54

He is a spiteful, narcissistic brat

He will have a google alert on his name

For you, your majesty

SuburbanRhonda · 15/01/2018 22:55

That gofundme has really got under people’s skin, hasn’t it?

EamonnWright · 15/01/2018 22:55

I would honestly just let this one ride out. Never stop a moron making a moron of themselves. This is obviously an idiot.

EamonnWright · 15/01/2018 22:56

That gofundme has really got under people’s skin, hasn’t it

Yup Smile

IrkThePurist · 15/01/2018 23:02

I'm glad. Now there's no possible doubt where this women's officer stands on representing women.

ReefAndRiz · 15/01/2018 23:05

Why would labour voters who discover this trans woman wants to expel women from the party vote labour in that area? I guess that CLP don't want to win any seats.

IrkThePurist · 15/01/2018 23:07

Look at the pinned tweet.

LP Women's Officer trying to get women ejected from LP!
EamonnWright · 15/01/2018 23:15

Checking Twitter lets you know how well this is doing. More and more people coming out against this nonsense. Keep retweeting and sharing and keep the pressure on.

thebewilderness · 15/01/2018 23:17

Labour Party and Lily feel that some women are more equal than others, eh? So familiar it is as though I have read it in a book.

tiktok · 15/01/2018 23:18

Omg.....overly wordy and ridiculous. Abuse directed at any group or any Labour Party members is surely covered by existing party rules on behaviour. If there is transphobic abuse, then of course it should be dealt with.

But In any case, that is a separate issue from permitting trans women to apply for women's roles, and the thing about 'trans women are women' is yet another separate issue. Hopefully most CLPs will see this confused motion for what it is.

Theresnonamesleft · 15/01/2018 23:29

I think any person using Cis to describe a person should be ejected.
I 'you' don't want to be called a man in a dress, don't call me Cis.

Superlandlady · 15/01/2018 23:31

IRK: He has no interest in women at all, unless they were born male.

TIKTOK: It's all a matter of defining terminology, which he has failed to do.

When Liam writes "transphobic abuse" he means anyone who objects to a man taking away a position from women (e.g. women's officer, Jo Cox award).

He also means anyone stating that a man in a dress is a man in a dress.

He also means anyone who disagrees with any of his demands or assertions, for example his assertion that he can and will get pregnant and bear children.

I would not define any of the above as abusive, but simply holding an opposing opinion. Liam believes that anyone holding an opposing opinion to him should be expelled.

I believe the correct term for this is "fascism".

Alltheprettyseahorses · 15/01/2018 23:32

This is unbe-bloody-lievable. And they're letting him do it. Well I hope Labour get what they deserve at the next elections. They're not even clamping down on his panhandling on an official(?) twitter account.

EamonnWright · 15/01/2018 23:33

I think any person using Cis to describe a person should be ejected

You spelt Executed wrong Wink

Jk.

Superlandlady · 15/01/2018 23:33

Theresnonamesleft

Cis
Transphobe
Terf

All terms of abuse which Liam uses every single day.

So apparently abuse is OK if he's the one issuing it!

OP posts:
Theresnonamesleft · 15/01/2018 23:37

I know he does.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 15/01/2018 23:37

"An officer for all women"

More like 'An officer and a [gentle]man'

Self absorbed prick.

ReefAndRiz · 15/01/2018 23:42

Will CLPs have time for this, don't they have other things to focus on that bring in big votes? Will they be interested if they don't have active trans members?
