Really liked this article, mainly because it focuses on boys who enjoy applying make up and not inferring any gender related issues from that:

(Sorry, can't seem to clicky link!)

I love this. My 2 year old DS plays with my make up and wafts powder round his face. As any kid would, it's fun.

I'm glad there are boys and men out there wearing it with pride.

I clicked on it with some dread TBH but was relieved. Wish I had this kid's skill! Suspect he's inundated with people telling him he's trans - hopefully the fact that his mother is not rigid with gender stereotypes will prevent him feeling that's a necessary step. The more parents teach this to their children, the less of an issue it should become (I hope).

I have little to add other than I saw two different men with makeup applied at the weekend. They were both working.

One was entirely neutral face, makeup used to cover some flaws and nicely accentuate his beautiful eyes (they really were)....took me ages to realise he was wearing make-up.

The other was far more glam, think red eye shadow and the most amazing brows ever.

I was with my aunt, 56, and we both commented how nice it was to see makeup applied well by the lads in question. And I'd hazard a guess that one was definitely not gay (god I sound awful, I'm just used to it being gay men who wear makeup) .
But both had the same thing in common, other than their skills, they owned it without any flamboyancy or "look at me aren't I....unique" it was just...as any woman wearing it. Normal.

And that's my comment.

Sorry I'm unwell, it did have a point but I forget what it was now.
