Meeting with feminists in real life?

So, this board has connected me with my inner feminist, but increasingly I wonder if there's a way I can get more involved in real life in trying to make a difference so my daughters are not constrained by the choices I've had.

I'd love to get involved in politics but it doesn't seem to me there's really a feminist party at the moment. Are there any feminist groups I could join? Would love to discuss this stuff in real life and would like to find more meaningful ways to make a difference.

You need a local group, but some local groups aren't very...feminist - some of the more studenty ones are very trans-focused and aren't really about the boring kind of women without penises any more, and especially if you're over 40 and have kids.
Where in the country are you?

Google for your nearest Womens Centre and see if they have a website. there used to be one in every city but many have been taken over or closing for lack of funds. They usually have a library and a list of events.
