Well of course she isn't, they never are.

Just like Mermaids wasn't repentant when they tried to trans a young boy but got told to stop by a court.

www.thesun.co.uk/fabulous/4861824/transgender-kids-doctor-helen-webberley/

She's been temporarily banned from practising while the GMC investigates, but while they do she's spouting off in the media.

She still runs her online website where you can get 'genuine health care', all private of course. But don't worry kids, the initial consultation is always free!

gendergp.co.uk/

She even operates a price comparison service, for different form of hormones and finasteride (and avodart/dutasteride), which is an medication properly used for male pattern baldness & prostate enlargement , which has some 'mild' side-effects "such as depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation" when used improperly offlabel for transgender people en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finasteride#Transgender_women

She's obviously such a brilliant doctor she can provide all manner of sweeties that aren't even approved for the uses she prescribes them for!

The article is helpfully illustrated by a photo of a FtM transboy playing with Lego spaceships when younger. As everyone knows that only boys like Lego, and this is proof you need lots of lovely off-label drugs to align body and mind..

This is actually good news, because she is much more likely to be permanently struck off by the GMC if she continues to show such a lack of insight.

She is not at all well thought of in the GP community. And that's an understatement

Conversely, she is exceptionally well thought of in the trans community.

Funny that.

Very poorly thought of amongst wider GP community - which is saying something, you have to make big waves for others to be aware of you given the nature of the specialty, and benefit of the doubt seems to be the default option for colleagues.

Does anyone remember that when we had another thread in FWR about her that a young person claiming to be one of her patients came on the thread to defend her? I hope they are ok.

Oh my god what is it with the stilted photos of the journalist and the interviewee?

Dr Webberly was born Male - that explains such a lot!
Dr W also says that babies should not be 'assigned a gender at birth' 🙄 Which is fine 'cos they aren't - their Sex is recorded
Dr W should be struck off for using inaccurate terminology alone

Are you sure? I don’t think Helen Webbeet was born male. I think you are mixing her up with another doctor, who is definitely trans.

On the GenderGP site, there is a blog post by Dr Webberley called When I was young that would indicate the Dr was indeed male, either that or its a complete fabrication to appeal to clients

Bela, based on the ages give in that piece and the references to the internet etc I think the blog piece is supposed to be by one of Dr Webberly's patients. It isn't clear but as Dr W left high school in 1987 (and was at Queen Ethel burg which is a girls school) then it is unlikely she was making internet friends in 1989/90. It is confusing that there is no attribution of the article.

Aah, thanks for clarifying, bit misleading to the casual observer though.

Yeah, I saw the article too. I don’t think she actually wrote it.
