I'm not a prolific poster on this topic, so I hope you don't mind me starting this, I have looked and I don't think there's another thread on this- if there is....sorry!
I am a gender critical (TERF??- probably! ) feminist and this article has really unsettled me, but I can't quite articulate why, so forgive me if I ramble!
"bi gender doll"
Basically man starts to transition, then decides that actually he really likes being "feminine" looking, but also really likes having a penis, so takes a weird mix of oestrogen, testosterone and viagra to "balance" (wtf?) their hormones.
Here's where I am conflicted....
They seem to be somewhat "gender critical", so don't think it should matter that one day they present as "male", and the next "female", and shouldn't have to change their genitals to match their clothes. (which I agree with!)
But then reading between the lines they can't develop relationships with women, and seem a bit peeved by that, which leads me to think that actually they are an entitled shit, like a lot of TRAs, and seem baffled by the fact that straight women don't want to sleep with someone who presents as female, and lesbians don't want a woman with a dick.
Plus the whole "plastic doll" thing is just so unutterably disgusting I don't know where to start with it...ffs.
actual quote.....
""She is my bi-gender doll, some days she's Aria and other days she's Alex, she has to live by what she wants and what she feels............Aria is one of my special dolls, I like her character and personality a lot."
Just uuurrggghhh.
This is another issue for me....transing often seems to be linked to the whole plastic surgery thing of over exaggerated, fake "femininity" and pornographic/ page 3 type shit.
The quote above is from this manager of "Plastics of Hollywood" (just that name makes me want to scrub with bleach- just eeewww!)
I don't know what I'm trying to say....can much wiser people than me articulate why this whole article makes me feel angry??? (and slightly icky!?)
