Exposing trans rights activists.

I don't know if you are aware or not, but there is a page on fb called exposing trans right activists. It re posts things that Tims (trans identifying males) say and their hand maidens.

It only has 2 stars as the negative reviews are out waking the postive ones almost 3 fold.

Unlike pro trans pages, it doesn't delete and block and allows debate.

It would be very helpful to have more allies. Smile

I'm a member and was called a cunt by a horrid little transactivist.

Love it. Grin

I've mostly debated with the more reasonable ones. But I have made a few comments to the more horrid ones recently. Looking forward to this non hate they seem to think they don't spew.

It's certainly attracting nutjob transactivists. And whilst it's pretty illuminating to see such misogyny and hatred demonstrated so resoundingly, I'm wondering if it will get old after a while.

It might do datun. And probably isn't a long term plan, but for now I'm viewing it as a vehicle to open fb friend's eyes by posting some of the more outrageous stuff on my status wall.

Just for now I'm enjoying tweaking their chains. But I'm sure it'll get dull soon enough.

There's a group called Centering Women which does a lot of this as well.

I can't say it's not highly entertaining.

Especially when you get a few paragraphs of what look like fairly reasonable debate then end with you fucking minging bitches.

I am highly entertained.

It's good to be able to debate with them, instead of being blocked for once. I feel like we have a chance of being heard.

I love how "Ami Dark" pops up on all posts to spout some bullshit, and gets a nice verbal takedown each time!

I've just discovered the reviews page. So many TAs shouting about how awful the posts are, entirely missing that is they, and only they, who are supplying the information.

I feel at such a loss about all this. I am worrying constantly about the implications of Maria Millers bill if it goes through. I am losing sleep with worry - sorry to go off topic but can anyone calm me down ???
I've been like this for months, and find myself looking at other women in real life wondering how they can be so oblivious the what may happen. I have tried to open a few womens eyes and have been met with blank stares as though they think i'm some raging militant.

Try coming out of Facebook, then go back in to your own page, and the typing exposing trans rights activists in the search bar. I'm not sure why, but clicking links doesn't seem to take you to the home page.

Maria Miller's bill won't be going through any time soon. The general election will get in the way, and as it is a private members bill, they rarely get through because you only have to have a minimum amount of objection to block it, apparently.

What's really irritating is the cultural acceptance, before any laws have really been properly enacted.

But people are definitely waking up. Even on mumsnet I have seen people who, one year ago, were highly critical, but they have had their eyes opened. And it's happening all over the place.

Please don't lose any sleep, we will get there in the end!

I'm finding that page depressing. Complete ignorance on the part of seemingly articulate trans allies - ie., no concept of class analysis or the history of feminism.

And I know people are angry about this, on both sides, but women resorting to the same insults as trans-activists undermines women's position.

And the constantly repeated pseudoscience to say men can have the brains of women, is not only missing the point, but is so disheartening.

The regular cries of 'hate speech', despite the posts coming from transactivists themselves, is just head in the sand nonsense.

The posts that the site puts up are unjustifiable. I can't believe people are actually aligning themselves to it. They ought to be met with incredulity - not acceptance and justification.

My only hope is that it's mostly transactivists who are supporting them, not regular people.

It's a great page. I read it and share posts from there but I never post. If anyone is interested in other pages or groups, two I've recently joined and post on regularly are Gender Critical Feminist Discussion and The Women's Movement UK. I have actually found some peace and sanity in those groups as in RL no-one seems to think that the trans issue is a big deal. In those groups I've met like-minded people and it's so good to know I'm not alone.
