MPs to discuss reform of UK's Victorian-era abortion law

This law will decriminalize abortion at any time for any reason. It leaves doctors and women free to discuss and act as needed.
There is a predictable backlash from the usual quarters.

10538, if you read the article you will see that a woman in NorthernIreland HAS been prosecuted under this law. For women in NI obtaining pills over the Internet is often the only way a termination is physically and economically possible. Repealing this law could give them the right to self administer, not as good a solution as being able to obtain a safe and legal abortion as other women in the UK are legally able to do but at least it would be a step in the right direction.

oneohfive Britain generally includes NI - mainland Britain is better.
