Call yourself a feminist? Our transgender columnist Juno Dawson's here to see if you really pass the test

And calls women who don't "TERFs". Thanks, Glamour and Jo Elvin, thanks a lot.

Yes I've seen this! And threatened anyone on Twitter who pointed out that terf is a slur and used in conjunction with violent threats against women. Apparently has screen grabbed any offending posts as they are 'libellous'
What a nice person Hmm

One of the best things I ever did for my mental health was to stop buying women's magazines. I saved money and cheered up - what's not to like?

Oh god everything about that article has just given me the rage.

It's just mansplaining taken to the nth degree. A man who says he's a woman, telling women how to do feminism.

Libellous against who exactly?

Report
venusinscorpio · 04/11/2016 16:12

It's deliberately goady click bait.

The comments are quite heartening.

Jo Elvin can fuck right off with this nonsense.

Love how it's essentially an article full of mansplaining- 'come on girlies this is real Feminism, get with times'

Report
ageingrunner · 04/11/2016 16:22

Venus libellous against the author of the article because the tweets apparently suggest that they are inciting rape and violence against women obviously bullshit

This is astounding -

I try to only ever speak for myself but I'm pretty sure, overwhelmingly, all trans people EVER would agree with me when I say a) I JUST NEED A WEE, THAT IS MY ONLY MOTIVE FOR ENTERING A PUBLIC LOO and b) I really really wouldn't feel safe peeing in a men's bathroom

Then why do you think women should feel really really safe when men come to pee in their bathrooms, for fuck's sake?

Is this the Glamour magazine that just gave Bono a "Women of the Year" award? I'm thinking they have a somewhat tenuous grip on the definition of the word Women.

seek so true, how is it fair?! I would t feel comfortable sharing a public toilet with a human that is genetically male.

I don't think they have a great understanding of libel law.

To be fair they don't seem to have a great understanding of anything much

So is she basically saying: 'because I'm a trans woman, my feelings trump those of (genetically born) women'?
