The feminists in today’s world (at least, the ones in a position to change things) are men – men who believe women should have the same opportunities that they do

Ffs this can't be real.

Op what do women know about it anyway? I'm so pleased we have some men here to tell us how it needs to be done.

If you strip away the pink crap and the stuff about feminists being man haters and bra burners, the article's actually saying something quite interesting.

I do often wonder why it is that, when something sexist is highlighted, men don't just say "Oh yeah, I never noticed that before, but now you've pointed it out it's obvious" Equality is so obviously a good thing it seems bizarre that we are still fighting for it. It could happen tomorrow if everyone was on board. But obviously men in general aren't on board because it means them having to give stuff up. And a lot of women aren't on board because while the patriarchy is damaging to both men and women in general, there are individual men and women who benefit from it hugely.

So maybe men speaking out and talking to other men is what we need. Calling them out on sexism. What we don't need is men talking to women and telling them how to do feminism..........

If oh FFS. Men with pink hair? Feminism =equalism? Trite, pathetic stuff.

If she'd got her pals to perform some of the roles relegated to women (not 'perform femininity') that might have been a little bit more engaging.

Why do they all look so mournful Shock

Rufus Are you saying "smile love, it might never happen"? Shock Shock

I personally am grateful that there are men who will give us women some direction and some help, like the good old days when they gave us the vote.

Can you imagine the uproar if you substituted 'black rights activist' with a load of pictures of white people? Or ran an article about gay rights that focused on heterosexual couples?

Bleurgh.

We could have got the feminist movement so much further if women had pink hair and posed for statement photos ....once again we we have to get the men to show us how it's done. Because men conversing about feminism and equality means something.

I am howling with laughter at those photos, all prissy and constipated and literally handwringing Grin

Surely must be parody? All those men pulling faces at the woes of womankind. And yet no, I think she's serious. I hope she doesn't rely on her incisive social commentary (Men in Pink! Transgressive!) for a living.

Smile, love! Brilliant.

To be fair the only reading about feminism she did before her photo series was the dictionary definition. And that was a revelation to her.

I am wondering if it's a Brass-Eye style spoof, I have to admit. (Cake! It's ruining civilisation as we know it.)

I think its serious, for a low value of serious. Here's another example from the site which is much nicer than pinkified chaps:

Maybe we could do some deeply meaningful feminist artwork if we dyed our dogs pink? Sounds like the sort of thing HoneyDragon might be up for...

An article about feminism being mostly pink and male.
I feel so much better for my daughter having read that.
