I'm sure you've heard them, and his pathetic apology, but one thing occured to me.

Hasn't he just admitted to at least assault, and from some of the comments sexual assault?

I mean the say that he just gets in there and grabs them by the pussy is an admission of sexual assault to me.

I don't know what the law is in either the UK or the USA on this but if someone states they assaulted another person, do police still have to wait for a complaint or is there any obligation to investigate?

I came here to post almost exactly the same thing. He's admitted sexually assaulting women, yet it's being reported as 'lewd comments'. This is not the same as Gordon Brown's 'bigot' gaffe.

I'm hoping that some brave woman comes forward and makes it a criminal issue. I don't think you can have an assault investigation without a victim.

The sad thing is, it appears that no whatever he does some people will still vote for him.

I know, I saw a thing that said 68% of women were planning to vote for Hillary and I just thought wtf are the other 32% thinking?

Yes, his comments were about sexual assaults he'd perpetrated and got away with because of his wealth and celebrity.

Shocking.

His words were almost exactly descriptive of how Jimmy Saville perpetrated his sexual assaults.

And people ask how and why he got away with what he did for as long as he did?

When we might be about to elect a confessed sexual criminal as POTUS.

It would have to be a very brave woman who would stand up and accuse Donald Trump of sexual assault. Can you imagine how much money, media and lawyers he'd bring to bear to discredit and destroy her (if paying off didn't work)?

Xeno well the one thing he said that I agreed with is that he won't be the first sexual predator in that role.

I was at a dinner tonight where Margaret Thatcher's former foreign secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind was speaking.

He was singing Hillary 's praises. He only met her once when Clinton was president and Thatcher was P.M but said she is intelligent, formidable and more than capable of being president.

He was sure sensible Republicans will bite the bullet and not vote for Trump.

Given he's admitted it, is there any chance they'll investigate him? In the UK there was that bloke recently who said in his book that he'd pushed a homeless man into a canal in the Netherlands and they investigated - and I'm sure I've heard similar being done for other people.

Women have stood up and accused him.
There's a lawsuit by a woman who was 13 at the time.

But in relation to these comments, he admitted he said them, not that what he said was true.

Don't think Trump will survive this and still be Republican candidate. What a mess! Is there a precedent for a candidate being replaced this late on?

Delicate,

On the other hand, Hilary, intelligent and formidable though she may well be, did really commit criminal acts in her e mail usage.

Choice between two self confessed crims....though Hilary clearly preferable to Donald. Hoping Republicans change candidate.

Sadly I doubt his comments have changed many of the minds of his supporters.
He is an ignorant pig, with many fans, which scares the hell out of me. No matter how the vote goes now, America is divided, I can foresee riots on the street.

It's also being discussed in other threads the sexual crimes by Bill Clinton and how Hillary is accused of enabling him and even going after the women who accused him.

OTOH, Trump has had or is fighting claims of fraud (example: Trump unoversity), although he tends to settle out of court.

He opened the flood gates by hitting or threatening to talk about Bill's sex abuse.
Either way, this is not going to end well. It will be a very dirty election.

Regarding what he said, I don't think it can go to court.

If he is candidate by the end of the week, I will be astonished. If his current female support is 32%, he has to now have lost a lot of those, together with hardening the voting resolve of the 68%. Hard logic will make his position untenable.

During the live debates it was brought up that he has never paid a tax bill, his response was well that just shows I am intelligent. HmmHmm

Wrt to how it's being reported, the Mail is showing pic of woman he 'tried to fuck' with label 'TV star that could cost Trump the White House' like it's her fault.

That's bad, even for them.

Let us hope that this is the final nail in the coffin and we see no more of him as a potential president.

It honestly beggars belief how many times he's able to demonstrate how completely unsuitable he is to hold any kind of public office, and yet people (not here) continue to defend him.

I'm astonished at the parallels that are being drawn between acts that he has admitted to - in fact, bragged about - committing (which are sexual assaults), and acts that Hillary's husband has been accused of, like they are the same. She isn't her husband! Even if he had done what he's accused of (and I have no particular fondness for him, and could well believe it), it says nothing about her. I keep hoping we might move beyond women being held responsible for the sexual conduct of the men around them, but there it is, as alive as its ever been. So depressing.

That mail headline is disgusting. It might as well say "look at this awful whore", mightn't it? His conduct, his actions, his assault, his potential loss - her fault. Urgh.

Apparently, someone remembered it and got it from their archives. Who knows?

My guess is that they've been digging up dirt on Trump in case he went for the jugular with Bill, which he did (while pretending that he wasn't).

But I can see how someone (particularly a Hillary voter) hearing him comment on Bill and preparing to bring it up, thought "but he's just as bad" and remember that they actually had evidence of it.

I just watched the blurb on BBC midday news. Nearly lost my breakfast. But I am heartened by more and more top Republicans abandoning him.

I hate how people view it as "if you want something different, vote for Trump". He's just the same as every other rich white misogynist - the only things he'd change would be for the worse.

Report
Chippednailvarnishing · 09/10/2016 13:42

I can't believe that some of the republicans supported him in the first place. I don't think any more of them withdrawing support at this late stage, Trump has already proved his credentials as a sexist.
