Women's studies courses

I'm toying with the idea of doing a university-level course in women's studies or similar.

It would probably have to be distance learning/online.

I want one from a UK institution because the cultural landscape in the US is just too different.

Has anyone any experience or advice? Or know of any decent free stuff I can have a look at to help me make up my mind?

I can't decide how formal I want to make it - maybe I just need to do a shit ton of reading.

Any/all help or advice appreciated! (It's not really for career purposes, more just for interest.)

There aren't really many (if any) women's studies courses any more I'm afraid. It's mainly gender/queer stuff so hard to find any proper feminist stuff. However, the IAI (iai.tv/iai-academy/courses) currently has some free short online courses by Julie Bindel, Finn Mackay and Beatrix Campbell so those might be of interest to you?

Honestly I think you'd be better off reading the books yourself.
