F4J storm the stage at The Rose of Tralee

For anyone who doesn't know The Rose of Tralee is very like the Lovely Girls completion in father Ted. Held each year in Ireland.
During one woman's time on a stage a F4J eejit came on dressed as a priest with a sign.
Now most people are used to these stunts and just roll their eyes but I am wondering why they feel the need for these stunts when women are speaking or have the spot light? They stormed the stage at loose women not long ago. The minority of time where women's voices can be heard and they piss on it.
I am probably not making sense in how I feel.

Because they blame women for their "plight"

What is f4j?

f4j is a group of men who don't have contact with their children. Often because they have been violent or abusive, and they continue to try to exert control and abuse by publicly shaming women. They are led by a man who admits he was a violent drunk. They dress in super hero costumes and piss people off.

A far more interesting thing happened during the Rose of Tralee when the Sydney Rose spoke out against DV and said that what she would like to see is a referendum regarding abortion in Ireland.

Xenophile you beat me to it! I'm just away to watch the Sydney Rose speak out now.

I have reason to believe that f4j is Fathers for Justice? You know, the ones that used to dress up as Batman to raise awareness of the dads who cannot see their kids because of court judgements etc

I didn't realise this was a zombie thread and was very confused by the post about the Sydney Rose!

the thread may be old but the subject is current

If a topic is current, better to start a new thread about the current matter rather than resurrect one six years old from Feminism: chat. . The old one can be linked for background information if relevant. Otherwise people are left reading a lot of old posts, which are definitely not current, without realising as old threads are not flagged as such.

Was desperately confused by the Repeal The 8th until PPs kindly pointed out it’s a zombie 🤦🏻‍♀️

Think I need more sleep.

(I knew someone when I was younger whose big sister was Galway Rose one year. Well, one of her big sisters, she was the youngest of a big family, all of them girls.)
